Hello fellow A.netters,
Welcome to Part 1 of my trip report to Orlando with Frontier Airlines! This first part chronicles the events from Seattle to Denver and then down to Orlando. This was my visit to Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. All Right, let's get on with the report.

I woke up at 04:30, and my mom took me and my dad to SEA. We checked in with F9, and there was only exits on the DEN-MCO leg. Satisfied, we went through security and onto A5 to Jack!

When I boarded, my dad (without my knowledge) mentioned to the F/A that I was a licensed pilot. The First officer overheard and invited me into the cockpit! I chatted with the F/O about Fly-by-Wire, our route, ERAU, whether he had fish for dinner  Smile, etc. Captain Tyson was very friendly, and he gave me his ACARS report of Clearance and ATIS. Not wanting to distract them, I returned to my seat.

After a tail spot and a stop at McDonalds, we boarded our 19 out to MCO. We pushed quickly, and taxied under the archway to runway 8.

Well that almost concludes part 1 of my report. As a special treat to those who are still reading, I have included a tailspotting section of my shots of F9 tails while at the airports, complete with Animal names!

I am impressed by what I have seen in your report about Frontier. Aren't they into LLC? And they also have direct tv. Awsome!
Thanks for informing me!

Thanks for reading my report. Sorry, but what is LLC? I am not quite sure.

I think he meant something like, "aren't they an LCC?" LCC is an abbreviation for 'low cost carrier.'

An LLC is a limited liability corporation.  Wink

I wondered about that. F9 is considered a Low Cost Carrier, but their service and product don't seem to have the no frills mentality. Thanks for reading!

I enjoyed reading (and seeing your awesome pics of course!) your trip report.

I'm glad you enjoyed your experience on "a whole different animal." Thanks for your support and come back soon.  Smile

Cheers!

Great report and Pics. I flew F9 last month BWI-DEN-SFO-DEN-BWI Good flights and nice weather overall.I didn,t get the breadsticks tho  Sad I did get a small doughnut on BWI-DEN flt and a small cookie on DEN-BWI portion. Just got some chips and drinks on the other flights. Direct tv was nice, except I was too cheap to pay for it HAHA!! Flight-tracker was cool. I think the archway at DEN is pretty cool also and Indian chants was a classy addition. One more thing, If you can get a flight out of SFO east about 5 pm security is a breeze, at least it was on the day I flew.

Awesome report. I have flown LGA-DEN on F9 a few times in the past month, and I have had comfortable flights and friendly service. I find them to be a lot like JetBlue.

Great report - thanks for legible spelling, too  Wink

Have yet to fly Frontier - have to tell you though, with the exception of bigger seats and more legroom, looks more comfortable than domestic first class on AA...at least you have TV!

Nice report and always a bonus when you get that flight deck shot. But check your numbers, I think the A320/319 doesn't go up to FL410, I think 390 is the limit for these mini airbus.

You could be right. However, on the back of your seats, they post the altitude. I remember it clearly saying FL410. However, it could have been a pressure altitude vs. true altitude conflict. Thanks for reading my report.
