Im back! im starting a fresh in OZ ...just because i can, i've decided to join my love of aviation with the world, pictures included . now keep in mind because of a lack of funds i had to use a crappy throw away camera for this trip, but i did my best. OH ! and dont forget take out your camera before they head thought the X-ray. i didn't at sydney and so my sunrise pictures,...well they got messed up so im sorry, but the rest turned out ok.
Checked into Lax At very early. 1:30pm.
and then we did a lot of sitting..... ok and eating too.
Boarding started about 9:15 for a 9:45 departure. I had a window seat of cource. 44A . Near the back of the wing but because this aircraft was refitted it wasnt where i'd hoped but still, flying in the dark there wasn't much to see anyways.
The 2 teenager girls i was sitting next to where from Australia ...i tell from the accent, but they where to busy catching Zzzzz's the hole flight. The night was so clear and the moon stayed with us almost the hole flight , i tryed to catch a picture of the wing relection but having a throw away camera didn't make that posible. I cant remember if it was dinner or a small snack they passed around after takoff, i was to busy looking out the window to be interested. After 8 hrs+ at Lax i was full of food and airline food isnt my favorite.
Apart from the inflight Entertainment . i did manage some sleep, the new seats are comfortable. after waiting and watching .. the first glimce of the sun began to rise from behind the plane. i snapped this picture and more but they didn't come out
After a while the sun just seem to hang there right below the cloulds until we started our decent into Auckland . lights were turned on, flight attendants apeared from there resting quarters and breakfast was served .
decent made for some nice veiws of northern New Zealand and some islands but i cant remember what they called.??
During the flight i'd moved seats and sat now in the exit row behind me and had a much better veiw of the wings. As we decended contrails came over the wings and touchdown was smooth. Parked next to a Qantas 767.
AIRLINE: Air New Zealand
I found they'd done a lot of renovating at auckland since i'd been there 2 years ago. Boarding started for a full flight to sydney. My seat was 2 rows from the back, because my original seat didn't have a window, i was disapointed and requested to move.
I was excited because this was my first 777 experience and ... WOW!!!
started our decent into sydney a little behind scedule - 10:30am
thanks to the wind derection i got the lovely veiws of sydney harbor approch:
that was a long flight but it feels good to be back!

You were lucky. Not only did you get to fly on a 747-400 but you got to fly on a brand new NZ 777-200ER. In one of your photos, an old classic can be seen. I believe that a Qantas 747-300 graced your lense. It is always great to mix the old with the new.
