Hello,
I just bought a ticket at UAL.com from MSN to SFO. When I was going to choose my seats I couldn't help but noticed that the 777 used for the ORD-SFO leg had a 3-4-2 layout. Has United changed their 777 seating plan, I thought it was 2-5-2. Anyway does the 777 I'll be flying in has a PTV in coach?

For the month of May, United has only one B777 flight (#147) scheduled from ORD to SFO. That aircraft is one of our newer "domestic" versions, with only 2 classes of service: 36 in F/C and 312 in a never-ending Y/C. The seating arrangement in F/C is 2-2-2, and the usual United 2-5-2 in Y/C. Unfortunately, United has chosen not to offer the PTVs in the seatbacks on this version on the B777.
Of course, lately we have been specializing in last-minute aircraft cancellations and swops, so you may just end up on one of the other B777 types with the extra "bells and whistles!" Good luck and enjoy the trip.

SIA fan-
When are you planning to SFO? I am going to SFO on July 21 UA # 857 and back 24th UA #154 the seating chart show 2-4-3 row. Someone told me there are no 2-4-3 any of UAL's 777, yet. Something wrong with UAL website. I don't know about this yet.

Yes, I'll be flying on UA 147. Too bad it won't have any PTVs, but I'm sure I will enjoy the flight as it will only be my second time aboard the great 777.

I'm going to SFO on June 5, UA 147 and back again UA 9something (B767-300ER) on June 14. I think something is definitely wrong with the website. The bad thing is I already booked 40E and 40F which the website showed to be a emergency exit center block seats. Hopefully I don't get stuck in the middle seats. Scary! Anyway enjoy the trip!
