As many of you knew, i had to fly to Gothenburg in this days.
I found a cheap fare with KLM from Venice Marco Polo.
I left Koper at 13:30 in order to be in Venice without problems due to the usual high traffic on the Trieste-Venice A4 highway.
At 13:40 i was at the Italian border. I spent there 10 minutes and then i drove directly to Venice Marco Polo. I found a line of 3 km before Venice but i was able to arrive at the airport at 15:45.
Been directly to the check in of KLM and i got both my boarding cards, VCE-AMS and AMS-GOT.
I passed the security gates and then i have been looking at the shops. VCE has a really nice modern airport with lots of light and windows on the Lagoon and the city.
I wanted to smoke a cigarette.. but i forgot that in Italy isn't allowed anywhere to smoke in public places so i had to wait to be in AMS.
I also saw a Delta B767 from the B pier that was moving to fly to Atlanta.

We boarded on time from Gate A15 using the airbridge.
I got a window seat F15. The plane was full.
At 17:03 we were pushed back, we moved to the run way and after to have waited some minutes in line we finally were on air.
The view was excellent! Unfortunately i forgot my camera. We turned on the right and we flew over the city of Venice that from the air is amazing.
Then we flew over Treviso and then we started to cross the Italian Alps that still had snow.
After the Alps we were finally in Germany over Munich after just 30 min since we were on air.
The cabin crew then started to serve us a tramezini with cheese or chicken. I got a chicken one and a beer. Heineken of course.
After Frankfurt the crew passed with the KLM boutique and then we quickly started our approach to AMS. The captain informed us that we were going to land 30 min ahead of scheduled at gate C4.
Once over AMS we saw the city. Beautiful with a fantastic sun.
At 18:14, just after 68 min of flight we touched down and we arrived at our gate C4.. but the captain informed us we had to get off from the stairs since we landed earlier than scheduled and there were no personnel!
Ok, we got off from the stairs and then up again in the stairs of the airbridge and finally we were into the terminal.
I wasn't very far from my other gate C12 so i moved there and i decided to have a beer at the bar just in front where it was possible to smoke.
At 19:55 i moved to the gate where the boarding started.

I got the seat F15 again. Plane full but we were pushed back 10 min later.
After 10 min of taxing we were ready to take off. Next to me it was a swedish guy that was back from his holidays in Spain.
Once in the air we crossed the Dutch coast and then the mainland. Again good weather but later we found some clouds.
The Swedish guy next to me was looking at the boutique magazine and asked one of the hostess to buy a present for his girlfriend but she of course replied him that the bouitique service will be after the meal service.
After 30 min the Cabin crew (in late because we were almost over Danmark) started to serve us the snack.
A very cold and tasteless croissant with a slice of ham inside. Very bad.
Once again an Heineken was served.
A few minutes later the captain informed us we started to approach Gothenburg where we expected to land after 20 min.
The crew passed quickly again to collect the trash and the guy next to me asked again for the boutique service but he was replied that the boutique service wasn't available because it was locked already!
We touched down at 22:10 and after 10 min we were already in the terminal ready to get our bags.. but surprise.. my bag didn't arrive despite i stayed in AMS for almost 2 hours!
The customer desk was helpful and they apologized and they found that my bag was still in AMS and they promised me to delivery it today morning to my hotel.. but now it's 15:23 and nothing is arrived yet!
I called again the customer desk at GOT airport and they told me that my bag is still in AMS! Shame.

Quoting Koper (Thread starter): I also saw a Delta B767 from the B pier that was moving to fly to Atlanta.
Since you were there in the afternoon, it seems odd the Delta plane would still have been there. They usually arrive in the early morning and leave by late morning.
As for the baggage, hopefully you will not get what happened to us last summer. It took us 5 days to get our bags after phone calls to 3 cities. Each answer we got concerning the location of our bags was different. Hope it all works out.

BTW, you aren't legally allowed to smoke in Holland in public places either... Officially the deal is that everyone must agree to certain closed areas must be 'smoking places', i.e in workplaces. Schiphol seems to have gotten around that by just putting up little smoking areas...
