Air New Zealand
AKL-ADL
Friday 16 June 2006
Flight No NZ221
Airbus A320-232
ZK-OJI
Seat 26A
Got to the airport very early. Dad and I were the first passengers to check in for the Adelaide flight.
Check in agent was efficient and friendly. He blocked the three seats for us (26 ABC).
Anyway that was not a problem as the plane was not full. I ended up having Seats 26 ABC to myself and dad had seats 27 ABC to himself.
Taxi was long as the international terminal is at one end of the runway and the wind dictated we used the other. Aircraft seen during taxi included Air Freight NZ Convair CV 580s, including the rare CV-5800 and a Life Flight NZ Metro III.
Breakfast choices were either a continental breakfast or some vegetable wrap thing. I chose the continental breakfast. Things went well until I tried to open the yogurt, which kinda exploded over me.
Rest of the flight was uneventful.
Landing back in Adelaide was good. Good to be home!.
