PBI
During the flight an older man begain inflating a balloon during the flight. He shaped it into a dog and he gave it to one of the flight attendants and whistled like a bird during the entire flight.
View of Palm Beach and Lake Worth.
FOOD!
The ice on the window looked cool.
You can see the tail of the plane in each of the rain drops.
Rainy day in New York.
After arriving in JFK...I took the airtrain to Terminal 1 and got on my next flight TK0001 to IST.
That is the link to the trip report for that flight.
JetBlue was the best airline to take us from PBI to JFK in relation to the TK flight so we always fly with JetBlue when we go.
The service is nice and thier A320 have great seats and the PTV's make the flight better.
I don't really have much flight info because I was tired on both flight and lost the tickets and can't remember anything but I know we left on the 7th and came back on the 24th of June.
JFK-PBI
Getting off TK.
JFK was pretty empty but once again the weather was bad.
After coming from IST the croweded older JetBlue terminal made me uncomfortable.
Our flight was delayed 2 hours so I walked around got something to eat from some pizza place in the terminal and the lady was really rude...A great welcome back to the U.S.
Finally we got on the plane.
Someone carved that into the window...
Anyway both flights were great and I like JetBlue.
While on the runway we had to wait even more because there were 2 BA planes one LH plane one Swiss plane 2 DL planes and one AirIndia 747, and 3 JetBlue flights that were ahead of us to take off.
After we took off I went straight to sleep.

Nice report. You should try Delta next time from JFK-PBI and tell us which is better. Delta will have a bigger aircraft (757), 34" of pitch, 24 channels of TV (same as B6), an interactive trivia to play with other players, and a giant selection of music (thousands of songs to choose from). Oh and they also have movies and games, for purchase only however. You do not get the past BOB food that song used to have, but you do get your choice of about 5 snacks from the snack basket. Give us a try!
The proper term is "on final" not "on finals" bud...
Sure! I will. But the next time I will need to connect in JFK will be December...
I like DL a lot they are my favorite and I have flown them the most in the U.S.

Actually, on JFK-PBI they've downgraded to the MD-88s. However, LGA-PBI still uses the ex-song 757s.

Oh sh** lol. I had thought that may have been the case. I was just too lazy to check my facts first though. I just assumed they still used the same aircraft to JFK. Well, if you ever need to be in NYC, LGA is the better airport anyway. The flight there will still have the same perks as mentioned above.

In any case, the MD-88 is still pretty good. The DE seats have 33" of pitch...as much as an ex-song a/c, and IFE/PTVs aren't really important on a 2 hour flight.

But it's a really great selling point when you want it to be, isn't it?

Great TR, glad you enjoyed B6.
Quoting Evan767 (Reply 3): 24 channels of TV (same as B6),
B6 has 36 channels of LiveTV and then the Fox Movies.
They fly the M88's on the JFK-Florida routes but I don't think M88's are that bad, but in the back it is.

Well for people who know how to watch Tv and want to watch which is a large amount of people they can. Tv is a great option. An even if I wasn't a TV fan I would still choose it because if you want to just check the weather or watch the news quick you can and get back tot he book. I fly Spirit LGA-DTW a lot and it is deadly boring and it is only a 1 hour and 20 minute flight and I read there it is fine but I flew LGA-FLL once on Spirit and I read on the flight but it seemed so much longer than the return flight on B6 even theough it was the same flight time.

Great report. As usual, wonderful pictures.
Too bad you lost the tickets with the flight info, but it's not the end of the world.

I think that this is hilarious. Every time I read it, I start laughing. I do understand how annoying that must have been to endure that for the whole flight.

I agree on the fact that the OP should try DL next time (even though I'm a jetBlue fan) just so we can see which he/she likes better.
However, the perks you point out are just the same (but somewhat less) compared to jetBlue. Bigger aircraft (757), even if used on the JFK route or not, does not mean better. The 757 is great, don't get me wrong. It's just that jetBlue's A320 seats are about 1" wider than DL's on the 757 and that makes a difference for many people. DL's 757s do not offer 34" of pitch...maybe 31" or 32" on the ex-Song ones. jetBlue offers 32" rows 1-10, 36"+ 11 and 12 (exit) and 34" in rows 13-26. jetBlue actually offers 36, not 24, channels of free Direct TV...in addition to 100 channels of free XM satellite radio and Fox Premium Inflight movies. 5 snacks from the basket...same. It's quite funny how jetBlue started this whole "no cart, only basket" thing...I like it, because it does not clog the aisle or hit people's legs and arms.
Quoting Evan767 (Reply 7): Well, if you ever need to be in NYC, LGA is the better airport anyway.
Why is LGA better? Because it is more congested and one of the worse delay-prone airports in the country? jetBlue also flies PBI-LGA nonstop and as a NYer I try to avoid LGA by all means. JFK is by far better (excluding the few hours for int'l departures in early evening). Just because it is a little closer to NYC does not mean it is "better."

For the record...the ex-song a/c have a minimum of 33" pitch. Other seats are more than that. As for the mainline 757s...I think it might be 31"....haven't sat in Y on one of those in quite a while.

Is DL still planning on retrofitting their 757 domestic aircraft to the old Song layout?
