Welcome to the report of the Inauguration Flight Eurofly Munich - Bermuda on July 1st.
After a first failed attempt to start the route Munich-Bermuda on June 10th, the first flight on this route took place on July 1st.
Instead of a 767-200ER from British FlyJet, which didn`t receive the authorizations by LBA (the German FAA), an Airbus A319CJ from the Italian carrier Eurofly was chartered. This aircraft will operate from now on a weekly Milan (MXP)- Munich – Bermuda – Munich – Milan rotation on Saturday/Sunday.
Flight: EEZ
MXP-MUC-BDA
07/01/06
Departure time: 16:00 local
Arrival time: 19:45 local
Aircraft: Airbus A319CJ
Configuration: C48
The ACJ can operate this route with up to 31 passengers non-stop. With more than 31 it needs to stop in Shannon.
I must say that this aircraft is extremely comfortable with only 48 Business seats.
Pitch: 147 cm
Nice headsets:
Seats that take you everywhere:
The seats have PTV with VOD. Phone and SMS service will work later.
The service is outstanding. The food is perfect. It is catered in MXP, not in MUC.
The apertizer:
Main course:
Phantastic Crema Catalàn:
The snack before arrival:
Arrival in paradise:
The aircraft operates Milan (MXP) – New York (JFK) from Monday to Friday. People travelling from Italy or Munich to Bermuda willing to pay between 2500 and 3500 USD return will love this flight.

Great report. Didn't know that Eurofly was operating 319CJ's. Interiour seems quite luxury and comfortable. Crema Catalana is originally Creme Brulée isn't it?! Only tasty if the browned caramelled sugar is crunchy and the creme below is chilled Yeah, then I will like it too.
So if the flight is well loaded, they stop at SNN. Will this be informed to potential customers upon booking/flight departure?

Great pictures! Wow, I wish every flight across the atlantic was like that. The food looks terrific. Did you get much in the way of service from MXP-MUC?

Quoting VHVXB (Reply 1): What type IFE do they offer?? Internet??
No, they don`t have internet. They are going to offer a SMS and short Email service only. But the contract with the provider is not signed yet. MXP-JFK operations run since May only and it will take a bit of time.
Quoting Airbuseric (Reply 2): Interiour seems quite luxury and comfortable. Crema Catalana is originally Creme Brulée isn't it?!
Yes, I think it`s similar. But there is no "burned" sugar on it.....

The fuel stop will only take about 20 minutes and is calculated in the schedule. So if the don`t stop they will arrive about 20 min. ahead of schedule - like in this case. Otherwise they will need the full scheduled time and arrive at 8pm in BDA.

Is this also the case on the MXP-JFK route ?
Good question. I don`t know about that. But I suppose it is the case as the distance is about the same as MUC-BDA....

Sorry, I don`t know about the catering on MXP-MUC. I boarded in MUC.

My apoligies. I for some reason thought you had boarded in MUC.

Can anyone explain us the background of this new flight? Luxurious tourism catering a few minted people? Was the 767-200 also supposed to be converterd in such a luxurious configuration?

How many passengers were on this particular flight and the return flight?
Hi, no gurantee... I heard rumors of only ONE return passenger to MUC...
Do you mean I was alone ? Definetly not ! This would have been an awsome experience. There were 10 passengers on board.
And about the return flight: Please be aware that this was an "empty leg".

Only 10 passengers? When I went to Bermuda everyone was either American or British. I wonder if their flight to New York does well. If it was an AZ flight I am sure it would do well but as Eurofly is not linked to a major frequent flyer program I wonder?

Quoting Aleksandar (Reply 20): Is it me or does it seem that those PTV screens are a bit too small?
They have a regular size - just look small because the seats are so large. But of course they could be bigger.
Unfortunately Eurofly has now returned this aircraft and is not flying Milan-New York any more with this A319CJ.
