Hi all and greetings from Brisbane. It's just gone 4.20 in the afternoon on a blissful Friday afternoon here. My flight to Perth leaves in 3 hours, but sunset here is at five; it is Winter, but you wouldn't know it!

Well, I left PER at 00.40 this morning on my Mystery Flight to BNE - via SYD. It was a 762. Looked a bit old, but seats were comfortable and crew very nice; 3 man crew with F/O converting; third pilot was supervisory or safety pilot - but no problem re jump seat. And I can honestly say the approach to 25 this morning, virtually right over the airport and with the city to the right, and with the sun just rising, was unforgettable. The connection time was short and our aircraft for the 90 minute BNE trip was OGC. It looked a lot more modern inside - and was, surprsingly, not too full.

We had a 30 minute holding delay south of Coolangatta, due to fog, but the arrival with a 5 mile short final from 1500', was just as good.

-OGC would look newer because it is a 767-338ER ..

Not a 767-238 ...

It is always great flying with Qantas and Sydney is a beautiful airport to jump seat into.
