hello after frequent visits to a.net for the last 3 years i finally made the move and joined, this is my First Trip Report & first post (ever) lol so be Nice.

few weeks ago after almost begin done with my summer courses at the University i decided to book a mini vacation to Montreal to visit the Film Festival , also to enjoy the city. I Searched many Airfares options and came across a cheap one offered By Air Canada. However i took a little time to make my move and book the ticket because I had many bad experience in the past with Star Alliance airlines, so i was a bit scared i will face the same experience with Air Canada, But Most of Skyteam Airlines were Full or expensive , i decided to book the ticket.
BOS-YUL
AIR CANADA Flight # 385
Depart: 11:30AM , Actual : 11:30 AM
Arrive : 12:40 PM, Actual : 12:38 PM
Embraer 175 Registration :C-FEJD
PAX Load : About 50% in Y, Not sure about Business class.
I arrived at the airport about 2.5 hours ahead of departure time, Went to check in counter located in terminal C , there was few people checking in, i waited in line for 1 minute then got the boarding passes for myself and my uncle. I found a rather weird thing that Air CANADA Only print Your last name on the Boarding pass, and since me and my uncle are sharing the same last name it was quit funny situation  Wink .
Security line was moving fast and with in 10 minute i was at the gate ( C12) I had plenty of time so i took few Pics ( i limited pic taking to few due to the ongoing high security , i didn't want to get into trouble Wink )
Air Canada Jazz , Going to Toronto .

My Aircraft Arriving From Montreal

http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l110/elia508/HPIM0037.jpg
Boarding the aircraft was again kind of weird because you didn't need any form of ID (that's what the agent stated) , Just your boarding pass. anyway i booked a window seat ( 21F) and my uncle next to me .
http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l110/elia508/HPIM0042.jpg
i was impressed with the Leather seats also with the IFE which was Packed with Movies, Programs and music :
http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l110/elia508/HPIM0044.jpg
{Sorry About the flash , i don't even know why the camera flashed)
the seat Pitch was more than enough for an Hour flight.
some Photos i took on Boston Ground :

I took this Photo Of an Airline called : CHAMPION AIR, any info about this airline ?
http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l110/elia508/HPIM0039.jpg
Takeoff was fast with a light load ( sorry I'm not sure of the runway #) :
http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l110/elia508/HPIM0054.jpg
After take off My Uncle ( who know nothing about airlines or aircrafts) mentioned a line that made me laugh he said : "this airplane have a 4 cylinder engines right ?" LOL i was laughing and before i could say anything he said :"I figured it out because the take off was not powerful as the 6 Cylinder airplane we took last month " <(REFERRING TO A320) I smiled and said Yes it's a 4 cylinder engine ;P .
2 flight attendants were serving bags of chips and NON alc. Beverage for NO COST.for an hour service i think it was more than i expected. We arrived in Montreal about 5 minute earlier with a rainy weather which made the landing a bit hard.
i took this photo when the landing gear was lowered :
http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l110/elia508/HPIM0055.jpg
20 second before touching down :
http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l110/elia508/HPIM0056.jpg
After landing the aircraft stopped at the gate but no ground crew was available to serve the aircraft so doors didn't open , we waited for about 15 minute before we could get out of the airplane.
security was a breeze and we were on our way to the hotel.
Few Pics i took on my stay of the great Montreal :
http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l110/elia508/HPIM0068.jpg

http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l110/elia508/HPIM0143.jpg
and of course what i came here for :
http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l110/elia508/HPIM0141.jpg
after spending few days it was time to go back, we took a taxi back to the airport ( LOL it COST 50$ IT WAS EXPENSIVE) .
arriving at the airport here where the confusion starts, we went looking for a check in desk we couldn't find one, all the disk were for the Drop Off after checking with the kiosk, after looking i gave up and went to customer service desk, there they issued our boarding passes and tagged our luggage and told us where to drop the luggage, confusing i know , but i was my only choice, after dropping the luggage and passing the security line i was looking to find my gate (78) the airport terminal was clean and well organized, I love it.
anyway i arrived about 2hrs before my flight time so the real spotting starts:

Air Canada JAzz Flight #7682
Depart : 2:05 PM Actual : 2:05 PM
Arrive: 3:20 PM Actual : 3:10 PM
PAX load : 90%
CRJ 100/200 Registration : unknown  Smile i was busy taking pix i did not get the registration of my own flight .
boarding was fast But this time they checked ID + Boarding pass again i had a window seat : 4f and my uncle next to me. here are some pix i took while still on ground .

http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l110/elia508/HPIM0187.jpg
http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l110/elia508/HPIM0188.jpg

http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l110/elia508/HPIM0198.jpg
oh yah the seat pitch , not bad for a short flight, but i gotta admit the CRJ is not as comfortable as the Embraer.
http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l110/elia508/HPIM0185.jpg
shortly we took off ( again sorry i didn't know which Runway). I was waiting for my uncle to say something during take off, after 5 min he said with bit anger :"WHAT IS THIS ? I had it with those weak engines, what is this a 3 cylinder engine aircraft?" LOL i smiled and said YES :P . You can actually feel that the aircraft is in desperate need of power on take off ( that was my 1st experience with both CRJ and EMB ) I'm used to Riding the Big Ones  Wink .
We soon reached 27000 Ft.

http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l110/elia508/HPIM0200.jpg
this flight had only 1 flight attendant which again serves a light snack + NON. Alc Beverage , i chose again Orange juice :
http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l110/elia508/HPIM0204.jpg
the flight was smooth till we reached Bos some pix i took :
Airport name?
http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l110/elia508/HPIM0206.jpg
also:
http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l110/elia508/HPIM0209.jpg

after about 40 Min of flight the airplane started it's descend to Bos, which was Unusual and confusing to me , me made a sharp left turn, 30 sec later another sharp left turn, 10 second another sharp turn and soo On till we reached the airport , it was a Shi*** approach ;P .
the landing was Bad the aircraft Shakes like a salt shaker on landing.
this time the luggage took forever to arrive at the terminal we waited for more than 30 Min. ( AIR CANADA FLIGHTS ARE HANDLED BY UNITED EMPLOYEE) that might explain the delay with United flights landing one after the other, i guess Unloading There flights takes priority( MY opinion) .
pic i took of Bos Terminal E on our way to the gate:
http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l110/elia508/HPIM0211.jpg
after collecting the luggage we took the MBTA silver line to the subway station and from there a train ( Amtrak to Providence)
a pic i took while on the bus ( cargo terminal)
http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l110/elia508/HPIM0212.jpg
I enjoyed flying AC , it seems after all not all Star alliance airlines are that bad.

I hope you enjoyed reading my report , i know the standerds not high as A.netters reports but i'm working on it  Wink after all it's my first post ever.

ALL COMMENTS are WELCOME :
thank you
Elia

I enjoyed your report and the pics. Montreal is a fantastic city. Great nightlife and beautiful women!
Champion Air is based at MSP and in addition to charters to warm weather destinations, they fly sports charters. The Minnesota Twins come to mind.

As a native Torontonian, I wish I could promote our city of Quebec City, but I just cant! Q.C. is a beautiful city with a great history.

But, Toronto does have its ups and downs. People are friendly and there is certainly plenty to do, but there are some crime issues and its not a cheap city!

Great for plane spotting, though!

Cheers,

Great report, I also like your favorite airline. Anyway, champion is 40% owned by Northwest, they are a scheduled charter and work a lot with MLT vacations and NWA vacations (all owned by Northwest Airlines Corp.)

There's a great hotel in Quebec City. It's the Loews Le Concorde. Haven't been to Quebec City in YEARS, but I have good memories of it as a kid.

Nice trip report as well

This first aerial photo of an airfield is a picture of Sanford Regional Airport-KSFM in Sanford, Maine. About 70 miles north of BOS. It was an Army airfield in WWII that was sold to the city of Sanford for $1 after the army left the property after the war. It's got a 6,000 ft runway that is one of the longer GA runways in the state. In fact, President Bush flies Air Force One in the 757 variant here when he comes to visit the Bush residence in Kennebunkport.
