I left PFN at 1140 on 9/13. ATR 72 N634AS, aircraft was beat all to hell, but the crew were very nice, the flight was smooth. Then we got to ATL. That was a trainwreck. Got to land on the new runway!!!! That taxi was a L O N G one. Well after getting into the terminal, I was whisked from D to T by Georgia's version if the chunnel! That thing is taking your life in your own hands!! A lot of fun though! There I boarded the absolute worst idea Delta ever had. Song. N696DL 752 as DAL 1139. I have NEVER had a seat so small. No wonder Song failed!!! The airplane was in good shape and pretty, but that SEAT!!!! The crew were very professional, and personal. And for once ATL didn't loose my luggage!!!!  eyepopping

My luck ran out on the return as the same damn airplane was there to pick me up on 9/17 on the way back as DAL 379. The ATL based crew were no where near as nice as the prior LAX based crew. ATL was just as efficient as ever. My flight to PFN was delayed 20 minutes while a FA was located, and then another 45 minutes when someone realized that N633AS HAD NOT BEEN FUELED!!!!  banghead

As we sat there, waiting for some goober with a hose, we watched as 4 other aircraft got fueled, loaded and pushed back.  bitelip

There are letters in the mail to both Delta Air Lines and Atlantic Southeast Airlines. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with Delta or its partners...

It's not that bad. At least if it breaks you can walk unlike the train in Denver.

No less wide than the seat on any other 757 or 737 that I can think of. If anything the Song seats had a little bit more pitch than the mainline planes.

Good thing they caught that one.

Sorry for the experience. Your time sounds like pretty much every trip I've ever taken on American.

I quit reading when you stated that you never had such a small seat as Song, but you just got off an ATR.

Good point. From seat guru:
757:
Economy Class: 33-34.0" 17.2"
ATR:
Economy Class: 31.0" 17.0"

The proper term is "on final" not "on finals" bud...

I think it was the center armrest that was screwing it up. The ATR had less legroom, but the ATR had a moveable armrest. The seat I had on the 752 had the tray in the right armrest. That sucker SQEEZED me for 3 1/2 hours. Next time I'll try a different seat... Possibly that will help?

Oh yea, I forgot the seat assignments.
3A on the ATR's and 10A on the 752's. First time I got the same seats both ways!

Sounds like you are a little wide in the seat yourself. No offense as I am the same way and avoid seats where the armrests are unmoveable.

I noticed one other thing about the 757 where the armrests don't move. The IFE ports and dials stick out about an inch or so and did right into the meat of your thigh. Not comfortable at all.

At least there was fuel on hand. Had a flight out of PFN back in 2002 that had to stop in Alabama (forgot the airport name) because PFN RAN OUT OF JET FUEL! I do have to give DL credit, though. I missed my connection in ATL, however DL gave me upgrade to F on the next available flight (even though it was not the airline's fault).
