US 727. BNA-LAS. A319, N710UW (I think).

Flight departed on time. Since my girlfriend and I were non-reving to LAS and First only had a few seats sold, I bought us both upgrades.

After a short taxi to 20L, the engines were spooled and we were on our way to meetings, poker, and fun.

After passing through 10,000 ft, the "you may use your IPod" video was shown, and headsets were handed out to the passengers. After the headsets, the lead flight attendant asked me to help her move something heavy in the galley.

When I got up front, she turned the cabin lights back on, and announced to the passengers that there was a special passenger on board who had something he needed to tell them.

I then took the handset, and announced that I was travelling with a special lady seated in 2A, and that I needed her to ask a question. I told them that if the answer was not what I wanted to hear, we'd have to divert back to BNA.

We got a nice round of applause as my new fiance accepted, and we continued to LAS, running a little behind schedule. When we joined the arrival near LAS, we were treated to a spectacular light show, and a few bumps with some weather in the area.

Needless to say, it was a flight we'll both remember! Many thanks to a great flight crew who all helped make this happen.
