Nice report there Matt, boy I'm looking forwards to my trip on the 10 even more now. Pics were really great, can I be so bold as to ask what the settings were on the Cockpit shot of the DC10? I am hoping to have one last chance at getting a really memorable pic on Friday

Excellent report & pics as always.
I too travelled MEM-AMS on the DC10 recently - it will be on one of the next installments of RTW my trip report. I did the same as you and notched up the DC9 in the same trip.

Really really good trip report!! Pictures were outstanding! So too were the videos. The DC-10 looks great but very outdated. I suppose there isn't much point in refurbishing them if they're being slowly phased out. You're right when you said -
"We were happy to see that our DC-10 was in old colours. I think it makes the flight more nostalgic or something... if you are flying a plane in "old colours" especially when they are getting ready for retirement."
The DC-9 cabin also looks great for it's age. Very bright.

Great report... and you're right. That is a totally bizarre howling noise. I've never heard anything like that either... I am very curious whether anyone here has a guess as to what it is. Thanks again for the report.

Nice tripreport. You really think the A320 in MP's old colors is ugly ? I've seen worse, but I'm not so fond of it either. The new colorscheme is far better in my opinion. Glad to hear you had a comfortable flight on KL (the meal looks quite tasty).

Just great! This report is well written, and your clear pictures are very pleasant to look at. WBC is a good way to travel, having experienced this several times on KL now too. I also should give the A330 a try soon.

Flying is finished for 2009. In 2010: I booked to secure the Q400 on a new route from LCY, for January...

Great report! I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and looking at the pictures, especially giving tribute to the DC-10 near it's retirement. Yes sure the A330 must be a great aircraft to fly on, I have no doubt about that, but right now I would rather choose to fly on an old 10 because it will be too late very soon! It is now or never.
Once again, great job .

you fly a long flight to amsterdam wait 5 hours fly a long flight back home?
i don't know but maybe if you actually spent some time in amsterdam it would make more sence. and also on the trip report on your website please watch the language. i have kids around me all the time!
the sky isnt the limit anymore
