Last weekend (Nov 10th thru the 12th) me and my family flew US to ATL for my cousin's wedding. So I wrote a TR on the flight out and back.
Here is a little info about the the outbound flight.

I woke up at 6:30AM, So I could be ready to head out to the airport. We where a little worried about rush hour as we were leaving at 7:20AM on a Friday, But amazingly the traffic was very light this morning. So we made it to the airport in about 20 to 30 min or about 8:00AM. We parked in the Terminal 4 Garage and made our way to the US Airways Check in Counters, We got our boarding passes and checked our bags. I had seat 5A my Dad 5B my Mom 5C and my brother 5D. Once we got our tickets we went in search of a place to get some breakfast that wasn't fast food. But all there was only a Chilies, they served breakfast though. After Breakfast we went made our way to the security line, It was a Huge line today but we didn't have to wait since my dad has a "Chairman's level with the US frequent flyer program. We were thru Security in about 5 Min and on our way to gate A-25. We got to our gate and saw that our inbound plane was delayed arriving from TPA and that we wouldn't get to depart till 10:45AM or so. But we didn't depart till 11:30ish. With over an hour (so we thought) wait me and my dad went and did some spotting.

After taking all those pictures, Our plane N627AW finally arrived at gate A25 at 10:40AM from TPA and were supposed to depart at 10:10AM.

Boarding finally began around 11:00 or so, We go on pretty quick as we had zone 5. It was a completely full flight today,

Boarding was completed in about 15min, We pushed back and started to make our way to 7L. There was about a dozen planes in line to take-off so we got in-line and waited for our turn to take-off. 25-30 min later we were next for take-off and I got this photo

Getting Settled in for the 3-4 hour flight
We lifted off in front of the fire station and continued on up to cruising altitude which we reached in 15 min or so. Right after that the Drink service began, I chose a Diet Coke (As Usual) and there was even a meal service! a 5$ Chicken Salad Sandwich, it was pretty tasty really, but worth $5? Not a Chance! the Movie on the flight was "Broken Bridges" I didn't really pay much attention to it. The flight was pretty uneventful really, Just a typical long flight.

We made a smooth touchdown on 28L?? and vacated the runway and were lucky in that they were letting planes cross 28R so we didn't have to wait to cross. We taxied all the way to gate D-21. The first thing I thought about ATL when I got off was Busy and Old, Thats was I though of the D concourse I don't know what the other gates look like though. I got a few quick shots after we got off, Then we made our way to the train so we could go pick up our bags and the rental car. It took us an hour to get out of the Airport, But for an airport thats handles as many people as it does is bound to be busy like that.
All in all the flight was comfortable enough and ATL for it's size was quick and easy enough to get around, Although ATL needs more airlines besides DL
I like US Airways a lot and won't hesitate to fly them again.

We arrived at the airport at 8:40AM or so, Returned the car to Hertz and made our way to the US Ticket counter, Received our boarding passes and made our way to the security line. The line was Huge! I thought the line at PHX was big! Luckily though we got to go thru the First Class line that made a world of difference. Security was pretty easy this morning despite the crowds it still was very quick. After security we went to catch a train to take us to the D concourse, It took 10 min to get the the gate. Our plane was already at D-21 so we would be going out on-time today. While my Dad and brother go in search of a Starbucks I take a few pictures.

Boarding started around 9:40AM and once again we had zone 5 so we got on right away again. We had the exact same seats as the flight on the 10th.
We had the same F/A today, as when I went to PDX in September. We pushed back and made our way to the "Line" which made the PHX line small

About 40 min after starting to taxi we got to take-off (sorry no take-off shots) Lift-off had a lot of power, It was a much steeper climb out then on the A320 flight back on the 10th. We got to cruising altitude about 18 min after take-off, For some reason we leveled off 5 min after take-off for a few min then we started to climb again not sure why. Once at Altitude the Drink/Food Service starts and I chose a Diet Coke again the Food option is the same as when we flew to ATL the Chicken Sandwich. The movie today was "You Me and Dupree" Personally I thought it looked dumb..but thats just me. The flight was uneventful, But it felt much longer going west then heading eastbound.

We approached PHX from the south and scooted up along the eastern side for a landing on 26. We made a smooth touchdown at 12:30PM five min ahead of schedule. We taxi for a min and park at B-6. I wasn't able to get a shot of our plane in PHX though. I did get to see a US New Colors on a B733

Is that an A333 in new colors in front?! It's way too narrow to be a 762, and I think it's too long to be a 752, and US doesn't have any 753's. It also looks too much bigger than the aircraft parked next to it (a 319 or 320) to be a 321, no?
Could we be seeing the first 333 in n/c very very soon?!

If so that must have just happened in the past couple of days - sometime last week I saw it in Cardinals colors on final approach.
