For starters, I left the hotel at which I was staying at about 3.5 hours before departure. The traffic on the 405 south was not bad, but not that good either. I made about 40 minutes from the hotel to the airport. I arrived at terminal 3 and there was nobody in line for check in. The only bad thing was that the TSA line to leave your bags was a bit long, but still I had plenty of time. This was my first time in terminal 3, I didn't find it that bad, but the only bad thing was that on the screens to see the flight status, there were only Alaska Air flights.

Catching a quick picture at midnight.
Arriving at Hawaii. (sorry of the blur)
Boarding started, my seat was 17D. I thought to myself, since its a night flight, I should try to seat on an aisle seat. The flight was delayed about 30 minutes because of some guys that never showed up, and their baggage was already in the aircraft.
The taxi was quick. We took off, about 45 minutes into the flight the baggage service started. I only had a coke, since I had already eaten at the terminal. The flight was very good, and the approach to HNL was very interesting.
I went to Hawaii as a tourist, and to get to know all of the islands, I got on a cruise. The cruise I got on was the Pride of Hawaii of Norwegian. To my luck my voyage was the 3 of the ships commercial history. I got to go to Kauai, Maui, and the Big Island. The ship was very new, it was big, but not as big as some others. Getting to see 4 different islands was very interesting, each one is fairly different. And each one has their own specialty.
A great picture on Hawaii Volcanoes National Park in the Big Island.
A great beach in Maui.
A mailbox in the middle of nowhere in Maui.
The great landscapes of Kauai.

The Honolulu International Airport.
Where are you going?
Back to the mainland.
We got to HNL about 2 and a half hours before departure. To our surprise a flight to PHX had been canceled the day before for reasons that I don't know and there was an incredibly amount of people waiting at the check in line. We stood there for a good amount of time. Finally we got to check in. The person who checked us in was in a terrible mood, I believe that is why she placed us one row before the exit row. Talk of bad luck. We got to the security check point which was quite fast. About 30-40 minutes later we got to board. The flight was very smooth. The only problem was that I was in a red eye flight with no recline at all it ended up to be very uncomfortable. Anyway we got to LAX, there we had to run from T2 to T4 because our connecting flight to DFW was on AA.
This is Part II of my summer trip.
Part III LAX-DFW-MTY.

Did you take the Pride of Hawaii to the different islands? A friend of mine did earlier in the year, and she said that the service was horrendous. If you did, I'm curious what you thought of the cruise.

The ship itself was very good. Fresh out of the factory. It was the 3rd revenue trip the ship made. The service was not perfect but was not horrendous. It was a good cruise, much better than my past cruises. Although the cover charge to some restaurants was a bit overpriced.
