I flew out of DTW on the 23rd of November at 7:01 am, on NW 1685, DC-9-30. The line for check in at the NW counter was longer than I ever saw it. The curbside check in had no line at all so I went outside. Unlike my last two trips to STL this one left the gate on time, however we waited to be deiced until 7:30. After deicing we were on our way and arrived at STL just four minutes late. My bags were on the carousel as soon as I get to it. I was ready to hit my mom and dad's for breakfast.
I was supposed to leave STL on flight 1682, which was a DC-9-50. I was the last one to board and I was BSing with Tony and Geno at the gate and they needed one person to volunteer to stay at STL and take a later flight. They knew I was the man to ask because I have done it before at STL and those guys are always there when I am there. I was given flight 2828 to MSP, which was on a Pinnacle CRJ-200. I got an exit row, which appears to have slightly more leg room. I also got a $300 voucher for a future flight, $30 in airport coupons, and some other goodies. That flight wasn't until 4:15 so I called my mom and dad and they drove over and we had lunch at the airport on NWA.
The Pinnacle flight crew was great. The FA was very attractive and very professional. I wish I would have got her name. She looked beautiful in her crisp uniform. The CRJ got into MSP a few minutes early so I had about 50 minutes to wonder around until flight 0846 to DTW left. That particular flight was on a 757-200 and I had my favorite seat 1A. Nothing like flying F at no additional charge. The FA in F was very nice and she was attentive. We pulled out of MSP on time and arrived in Detroit 10 minutes early. I talked to the pilots for a couple of minutes while we were waiting to get off the plane. They seemed like a couple of good guys. They rattled off a couple of good jokes.
Once at DTW I went in search of my luggage, which came in on NW 1682. I went over to the luggage lost and found, a place I have never been. The agent there was nice and she took me in the back room to get my bags. On the way back there we walked by a big box of car keys and another with eye glasses. It was keys and glasses that people had left on NW planes and other NW areas around DTW. There was hundreds of them there. The lady said that the box was just this year. I would never have guessed so many people lose their car keys at the airport.
All and All it was a nice couple of trips on NWA. I am going NW DTW-ORD and back next weekend so I will let you all know how that goes.

Nice trip report. Thanks!

I did not. Maybe I should have. I am have never asked a FA for her number. There are couple times I should have, but I don't want to bug people while they are at work.
Quoting DALelite (Reply 3): looking forward to your next trip report. have you have it already post it?
I posted it back on the 3rd of December. NW, DTW-ORD/ORD-DTW 12-1/12-3. the trip on the 1st was a bit interesting due to weather. The trip home was text book perfect. Another fine trip on an NW DC-9
