Leg 1 - BWI-PHX August 12, 2006
HP/US Flight 502 on a new-liveried A320
Scheduled Departure 7:30 am
Actual Departure ~8:15 am (due to baggage mishap)
Scheduled Arrival 9:21 am
Actual Arrival 10:05 am
Seat 2C
Meal - Eggs, sausage, toast, potatoes, Orange Juice

Comments- Boarding was smooth and we looked to be set for an on time departure until the flight deck came over the PA system to announce some problem with the baggage that would delay our departure for quite a while. This was met with more than a few groans throughout the cabin as connections in PHX were already tight. There were a lot of folks headed for KOA that were particularly worried. The IFE wasn't working and the safety demo had to be done manually. We eventually had an uneventful takeoff and a fairly smooth flight. The IFE suddenly came to life about 20 minutes after takeoff but since it had been reported down, the only movie they had to show was Mission Impossible 3. I decided to simply eat my breakfast (which was surprisingly tasty) and catch up on my sleep. Landing at PHX was a little bumpy and we were delayed again as an aircraft had broken down at our gate and we had to wait on the ramp for another gate assignment. Fortunetly we were told that connecting flights were going to hold a few minutes. I had a nice sprint through the PHX airport to get to my gate for my next flight which was getting ready to punch it right as I got there.

Leg 2 - PHX-HNL August 12, 2006
HP/US Flight 20 on the Ohio Liveried 752
Scheduled Departure 10:30 am
Actual Departure ~10:35 am
Scheduled Arrival 2:11 pm
Actual Arrival 1:30 pm
Seat 2B
Meal - "Island Salmon" with chutney, veggies and a roll

Aircraft was showing it's age but the seat was comfortable and service was great. The FA really went out of his way to get everybody everything they wanted and was very pleasant about it. Movie was again MI:3 so I caught up on my sleep and did some reading. Due to favorable winds we landed half an hour early which brightened everyone's spirits as well as the news that everyone's luggage made it aboard from the late connections. I wish I'd had my camera to take some shots of the approach to HNL over Pearl Harbor. Such a beautiful sight. After landing it was off to my cousins' house in Kailua on the northeast side of Oahu.

Leg 3 - HNL-PHX August 17, 2006
HP/US Flight 23 on an HP standard liveried 752
Scheduled Departure 10:10 pm
Actual Departure 10:10 pm
Scheduled Arrival 7:12 am (Aug 18th)
Actual Arrival 7:20 am
Seat 3D
Meal - Fruit and Cheese platter

To be honest I really don't remember much about this flight, I was asleep before takeoff and woke up to the cheese plate being served somewhere over Southern California. This was fine by me as it was a night flight overwater with no movie shown. Seat was very comfortable though.

Leg 4 - PHX-BWI August 18, 2006
HP/US Flight 81 on a new-liveried A319
Scheduled Departure 8:45 am
Actual Departure 8:45 am
Scheduled Arrival 4:19 pm
Actual Arrival 4:15 pm
Seat 3B
Meal - Cheerios, Yogurt and a Blueberry Muffin (I was quite disappointed)

Takeoff was uneventful. The breakfast left a lot to be desired (I'm def. a meat and potatoes kind of guy, cereal and yogurt didn't cut it) so I had a few cocktails to brighten my mood. Service was good though. Nice scenery on this flight until about the Mississippi river where it was solid clouds the rest of the way to BWI. Movie was Goal! so that was entertaining. Landing was a little bumpy but nothing out of the ordinary. Took forever to get my bags at BWI though...

Nice! I really hope you enjoyed Honolulu!

I hope that the HP/US conglomerate can combine to make a consistent and reliable product, but it seems as if everything ran smoothly with your trip, no?

The opinions expressed here are mine and not necessarily those of Delta Air Lines.
