Good report. Looks like you enjoyed your flight. Was a bit disappointed not to see snaps of interiors and crew. Looks like GoAir is more similar to SpiceJet than DN.

Quoting Blrsea (Reply 1): Was a bit disappointed not to see snaps of interiors and crew
Since both my flights were evening/night flights (and lights on the a/c were dim throughout for some reason), I was not able take any clear pictures of the interiors (since I don't use the flash on board or at airports). Plus their silly rule prohibiting photography on GoAir.

Interesting comment - it's certainly miles apart from DN. It's also quite different from SG, since SG offers mainly connecting services (like DEL-BLR via AMD, PNQ or HYD), while GoAir offers non-stop services. In addition SG does not have a buy-on-board program - while GoAir did a good job on that. DN has a buy-on-board but there's never anything available to be bought.

Great report, pity that taking photos in Indian airports is still such a fraught affair. Going by your report and some other feedback, I would think that Go Air is superior to SG and quite a bit better than DN. What about IndiGo? Any opinions on them?
As far as connectivity goes among the LCCs, I suppose DN has the widest network? I would welcome some feedback as I'm planning a trip to India which involves quite a bit of travelling across the country. I normally use 9W for domestic routes but would welcome a change.

Another good one! By the way is security generally so lax at Indian airports. Pretty disconcerting considering that Indian airports are often on heightened alert. I wonder what would have happened if you were caught with the cells in your shoe? I'm sure it wouldn't have been pleasant. Best not take that kind of chance again.
Glad it turned out well anyway.
Cheers

Thanks for posting these, Nimish. I am flying G8 next week from DEL to PNQ. Have never flown them before since they just launched (have flown Jet Airways and Sahara within India and those are nice). Your report gives me some relief.
BTW, how strict were they about baggage weights (checked in luggage). Reason I ask is that I am actually arriving into DEL the previous night from Chicago (on AA) and will have 1 larger suitcase with me that is most likely going to weigh more than 15 kgs. DO you think they will allow that given that I am actually "connecting" (albeit with a 20+ hour stopover in DEL) from an i nt'l flight? Or should I just have to suck it up and pay for any extra weight?
Also, any idea on how their flight schedule is currently operating given teh fog in DEL?
