hello fellow aircraft enthusiast!

i am doing my first ever trip report so go easy on me please!

I traveled last may, may 25th 2006 to be exact, to bilbao, spain. I was there for 3 months doing an internship with an aero-engineering company.

SInce i wanted to earn a lot of onepass miles, I chose the following itenary

LAX-GDL-MEX-MAD-CDG-BIO

I'm mostly going to put pictures since i do not have a lot of time to type. I have homework to do...=)

SO i started my trip in LA, thats where i was born. I was home for the summer to see the parents before I left. (i am currently an aeronautical engineering grad student at purdue)

I boarded an AM flight for my LAX-GDL-MEX-MAD. I was upgraded to 1st class from LAX-MEX. nice way to start the long trip, dont you think?  Wink

Anwar

Absolutely a great trip report! Though you took a long routing for Bilbao! You were actually on your country of arrival and then had to go to another country in order to return to another city within the country you were! lol So complicated, no wonder why you were so exhausted!

Thanks for the amazing pictures! Keep on with the great work!

Damn, I'd take that meal anyday on a flight from BOS-DTW, the same length as MAD-CDG. Props to AF! The dessert looks delicious!

Hi!

I truly enjoyed your trip report....specially that awesome picture of the portuguese coast when you were arriving to MAD, it looks to me that is in the North of Portugal, maybe Aveiro or Porto, because I can clearly see a river.

thanks for all your comments. as far as the food, my AF meal was horrible. I pretty much took a pic of it and thats it.

off topic: i was looking thru AM's B777 pics and i noticed that a spotter at MAD took a pic of N746AM the same day I arrived. I arrived May 26th, and the spotter supposedly took the pic that same day when the plane was returning to MEX. In the aircraft, I saw in the first row of the aft cabin (its the first row of the right window seats after the 3rd exit. I dunno, i just think its cool that someone took a pic of an airplane i was in 2 hours before.

here is a link of the anet pic (sorry, i didnt know how to put the pic in the message).

Nice pics... I just have a question, was this itinerary on a single ticket or did you build your trip in separate tickets??

I would guess building this trip on a single ticket will cost a lot of money due to fare construction...
