here is my small trip report of my flight from Kuopio to Helsinki,Finland.

AY506 A319 OH-LVA
flight was delayed about 10minutes because there was some problems in check-in i got my window seat and was hoping to get all 3seats to me but there came this couple seating next to me so that was it.i dont find the seats so much wider than in 737 the legroom was pretty nice.the pilot told that we are gonna use higher cruise speed to catch up the lost time and that the flight is lasting only 35minutes compare to usual 50.the takeoff was smooth like rest of the flight coffee,juice and crackers where served right before our landing preparations(about 3minutes before)so the crew was hurry to collect the trades.the landing was really one of the smoothest i have had to Helsinki!thnks to captain and Airbuses computers.so we did make it in 35minutes and again it was a punctual flight.i would give it 9out of10.so there it was next time ill write my trip to Bulgaria but thats next month.

Hi. Nice trip report. I heard plenty of times that Finnair is a very good airline. I have never flown with Finnair so far, but I was already in a Airbus A319. I live in Swizterland and so I flow AMS-ZRH in Business Class (I had a free upgrade) and the flight was pretty confortalbe. Cool was that I flow the route ZRH-AMS in a Airbus A321. Anyway Swissair Airbus A320 family is very confortable, all leather seats in both classes and the service was very friendly too. For me look the A319 to small, and the coming A318 will be very ugly due it is to short. I prefer Boeing airplanes more, but the A319 is very confortable. Space is Ok. Did you like thte whole flight? With which airline will you flying to Bulgaria? Does Finnair is flying into Sofia?

Hi swissplane!Thnks for replying my message the flight was confort all the time but i see the seats are real big in height so i couldnt see so good to the cabin and the cabin feel little dark.Finnair dont have leather seats thats a pitty.I dont see Finnair better airline than Swissair my mother likes Swissair more but i havent ever fly on it shame they dont fly anymore to Finland only codeshare with AY.would love to see Swissair planes here.Finnair is ok airline i would give it 8/10 the service is not allways so good.but i myself try to do my best in the Airport hopefully every other one does too! my flight to Bulgaria is Finnair charter flight with MD83 they fly MD11 and B757 to there too.the charter flights go to Varna airport.

Hi and good evening AY-MD11. Thank's also for replying. It is really a shame that Swissair doesn't fly to Helsinki anymore. But Crossair launched service to Helsinki from Basel this year. Have you already seen the Embraer 145 from them at Helsinki Vantaa airport? Finnair is also Code-sharing this flight. Crossair is excellent, they offer the best service in sky for all passengers in such a small plane. Champagne in the beginning and excellent food during air and very friendly airline. They are a Champage Business Class airline. They are really excellent. Anyway Swissair is also good, but Malaysian Airlines is wonderful. I believe that Finnair is good too, to bad that I have never flown wiht them? Have you ever flown on a MD11? This is a nice airplane, I like it very much. I flow twice on a MD11 both with Swissair. Very confortable and it looks so nice. Didn't know that Varna is so popular in Finnland? I know that there are also Charter flgihts to Varna out of Germany and Switzerland. I have never been there, I will go to Turkey this august and I will flying on Balair, the charter daughter of Swissair. I will flying on a Boeing 757 and I'm looking forward on that plane. Have you ever flown with this plane? Does Finnair use their turboprop airplanes on its domnestic service? And any news about a replacement of the MD11? I hope not...

I see that Crossair is first class airline!maybe i take the Helsinki-Basel hop with them sometime..yes i have seen the EMB-145 a nice plane that is.they usual departure around8.30-9.00am so i dont see them so offen because thats the time i have come to work and there is allways plenty to do in mornings i have once fly on B757 the airline was Airtours from HEL to Puerto de rosario,Fuerteventura.the plane is good but seats are small and that airline dont seem to even know what seat pitch means..MD11 is not gonna go away in the near future it stays a while still and thats what i have heard.those planes are repainted to new c/s and theres gonna have brand new interior business class with 48seats old had 28.soon there is possibility to send email and contact internet in flight first that comes to Business and later to economy.i have fly MD11 couple times last one was few months ago ín Finnair HEL-JFK roundtrip and like the plane allmost much as B747.

Yeah, the MD11 is really a nice aircraft. I like it very much. But I prefer to fly with Boeing 777. Yes, hopefully you will come to Switzerland one day and I hope to try Finnair once. There is a Swiss travel agency which sells Thailand trips with flying Finnair to and from Thailand. I knew a girl from Kemijarvi, but I have never been to Suomi. I like this small regional jets too, there you feel much better any turbulences and all that. I went last sunday to the airport. Finnair is using their new A319 or A321 on the morning Zürich flight and there was also a MD80 which was a Charter flight into Lappland.
