S and M class doesn’t exist anymore even on flights to PTP CAY FDF RUN etc... And yes, those planes fly to other destinations than the Caribbean and Indian Ocean such as YUL. I believe all the A330s are done with cabin refresh. Not sure how far along are the 777 fleet refresh. I think some of them are actually set not to be updated, instead retired. Not really ... We left gate 5 at 7:10 Pm (iso the schedule 7:00 Pm which is not too bad...).

We took off at 9:25 Pm...

Actually, most of people complaining about CDG have never been there or just one time in their life 25 years ago.... and they just keep on repeating what they heard or read here and there.... The last configuration of Air France B744 was 36J / 396 Y = 432 seats

The closest B773ER configuration in the AF fleet today is 42J / 24W / 315Y = 381 seats. So the answer is : YES. With 6J less and no W class, they could have more or less the same configuration than the good old B744

The language is not the problem. The ATC staff in Buenos Aires is : poorly trained and noticeably incompetent and unreliable. Most pilots of internaional airlines serving EZE know it and are usually much more careful than anywhere else when they approach EZE.

AF have had a few internal problems like strikes and such. This is why they can't fill their big aircraft now.
