IMO I dont believe its fair to judge the <acronym title="Air Madagascar">MD</acronym>-90 vs B737 vs A320. Though directly competing, airlines often negotiated terms of sale which incorporate other aircraft types produced by the same manufacturer (Like an A320/A330/A340 deal or B737/757/767/777 deal)...

Can someone please explain how TWA's international operations seemed to have fallen apart so quickly. I heard that in either 1988 or 89, TWA commanded over 50% of the Atlantic crossings. How in the space of ten years did its operations disintergrate so quickly?
