Maybe all airports should have a rule prohibiting the use of a single runway with three or two holding points for taxiing. It's challenging to see in the dark at night, making it difficult to navigate. Daylight conditions are better for visibility, allowing pilots to see up to three holding points ...

I for one am just glad that this is becoming more available. As already pointed out, it sounds like these programs have limits and controls, and it's still subject to the same TSA screening, so the same chance of weapons getting past security exists with or without them.

I'm still waiting for the day that airlines give up this expensive experiment and drop these programs. Then, they can concentrate on providing the best possible service to the public at reasonable prices across the class of service spectrum, in a more purely competitive environment.

Kind of a tangent here, but what's with cargo flights to Laredo? Is it a big port of entry along the border? We have semi-regular cargo flights there from MKE on a variety of carriers and equipment (mainly turboprops).
