LOL, well I think it was one of the engineers walking past with his mobile that took it out of pity for me (I'm U/S at the moment) as he felt I was missing out on arrival of the "Beastie", might go round and take some pics today.

Some Engine FCU's (fuel control units) have barometric capsules inside them which take into account changes in Px and temp and adjust engine performance accordingly.

The KLM aircraft in the picture has not been repaired, that looks like a temporary repair so that the aircraft can be moved without causing the airframe to buckle as you can still clearley see the damage. Regards the avionics bay being a problem I believe some aircraft can be written off due to this...
