Re: AIr Iceland Connect cuts UK flights

The domestic and Greenland operation out of RKV is the mainstay of the operation of NY. NY operates the Q400 also to the Faroe, but mainly to Akureyri and Egilstaðir. Aberdeen seemed to go quite well, than Belfast was added, both operated for FI. I have not heard that the bookings or load factor we...

I personally thought the use of Q400 to these UK secondary markets was quite innovative and thought it be might be expanded to other smaller markets , not just in UK, that would tie into the TATL North American market. Perhaps wrong type A/C. Maybe something like the EMB 190-E2 would work, though th...

the Q400 experiment seems to be ending. It appears the are just going to continue their domestic flights within Iceland(not from KEF) and then some Greenland flights. Perhaps the Q400's leave fleet. Typically the over -the -water fare rules apply when checking "thru" bags so United checking onward to Taipei would probably send free. I am just suggesting to prepare for domestic treatment of bags. What are you booked in on UA segment ? If booked up front then you really should be fine.
