Hi Beaucaire, yes the visa applies for german passport holders (actually we went with this passport!). As for Syria, you were lucky. You can get a Visa upon arrival only in case of groups exceeding 7 or 8 Pax. There are exceptions but i wouldn't bet on this.Therefore recommend to arrange in advance....

well 28 tons in a A330-200 is quite much!
During my times at the airport we managed to get 21 Tons in the Belly of an A300-600 plus the luggage of about 140 Pax. The block flight time for the flight was 5 hours.
