WOW is not that large in terms of revenue.

Revenue wise, Air Atlanta Icelandic (AAI) is BY FAR the biggest earner and the airline making the most profit in Iceland, followed at a large distance by Icelandair.

So what?!
You fly an RNAV approach, or a Non-precision VOR or even NDB. If wx below the minima for such approaches you declare a PanPan and write a safety report after landing. A total non-event being blown-up for sensationalism.
This kind of situation happens daily multiple times.

Actually,

It was Sabena itself that designed the Conversion, and all original DC10-30's ( A to E) operated by Sabena could be operated either as Combi or as Full Pax. As far as I remember.

Sabena's level of Engineering, Training and Pilot standard has always been the absolute top in Aviation.

It is VERY easy to have a Pod strike on the B744 or B748.

Especially on crosswind landings of around 30kts. And engine failures.

The aircraft is absolutely unforgiving to a wingdrop.

TF-AAK is ex. Air France and built in 2003.
After the tour, she will fly for a major Airline with AAI crew.
