Re: General announcements & discussions

Wow... I haven't really visited A.net in years (or an airport as a photographer for that matter), but not much has changed in the last 7 years. Except maybe the traffic. On this forum the most recent post today was four days old. Most topics have a last response more than a week ago. In the time tha...

It used to be a military camp... They don't like people roaming around with camera's there. Even though the camp is gone, the 'photography prohibited' attitude has been kept. RE: A Better Understanding Of The 'centre' Rule

My (and many other photographers') most popular pictures here are off center... Which proves a point I think. At some point (when I was a screener) we became more lenient towards the 'centering rule', but seems like it has gone back to strictness? (I haven't uploaded for over 2 years now, so I don't...

I guess you didn't have science/physics class in school? It has nothing to do with your camera, Juan. The only thing you can do is to use a longer lens and be further away from the plane. Most successful (full sharp subject) panning shots were made with a long focal lens. E Edit: see this old post. ...

When I was a screener, I often 'direct added' shots that were a bit more 'outside of the box' and where I felt a risk that it might get rejected by another screener who would 'go by the book' if I left it in the Q for second screening. Looks normal for this viewpoint. Not my favorite angle, but that's what you see when you position yourself close to the approach path. Rotating them on purpose would make them look strange. I didn't know this has become a rejection reason too. Which category does it fall under?
