They’re not alone in this is fairness. Most times I fly BA, whether it be an A320 or a 777 the demo is manual

I don’t see anyone but BA taking over LGW. Vueling have zero recognition on the DUB-LON market & the ATRs wouldn’t be cost effective versus an FR 737.

I use it for my day to day spending like a debit card for groceries etc. I also have my VHI, my phone watch, my Vodafone etc on it and then use it to pay for my BA holidays to get avios on the double so very easily hit the 5k/year

But seriously, everyone seems to have been caught on the hop. Weather forecasters completely failed to predict it (gave a rain warning instead) and lack of deicing equipment and lack of stands seems to have led to lengthy delays

The 2 aircraft ‘to be allocated’ are XLR’s. Which are EI’s as EI’s deliveries make no reference to XLR deliveries, only 2 32N’s. All a bit strange, slide deck implying they are not allocated to EI yet but seems to be related to ongoing dispute with pilots. Ah yes you’re right, damn colour blindness...

I notice in the IAG results presentation that there are 2 used A330s to be delivered in 2024 but not yet allocated to an airline. Not great for anyone on DL45 DUB-JFK today. The inbound was already +5hrs late, the outbound due out at 10.45 eventually left at 3pm but didn’t even get as far as the runway but apparently had a fuel leak and had to go back to the terminal. Eventually took off over 9hrs late
