Re: Breaking into the a&p field with mechanical experience

I think most aircraft would be hard pressed to match the complexity of heavy equipment. (Emphasis on most) If the opposite is true why would a&p pay top out at 90,000 and heavy equipment pay top out at 55-60/hr? I've never worked on heavy equipment, and you've never worked on aircraft. But I wo...

United is one continuous train wreck. Front line employees are clueless and don't use common sense. Write another check UA. Low bar, low brow company. I, for one, take great offense at that statement. I am a UA front line employee, and have been for 22 years. If I was "clueless" and didn'...

As a UA employee, I would LOVE to see the Tulip return. The current Death Star/UNITED design just doesn't work. However I agree that the best thing for everyone involved is to have a completely new design going forward (as opposed to all of the current employees on BOTH sides looking backward).

I hope they don't mess with their timeless and universally recognized design graphics.... On a side note I am a strong detractor of the KLM wavy line. They've ruined a perfectly executed design. It does nothing to enhance the design flow of the fuselage. It now looks generic and cheaper and I am su...

No way ORD changes to Obama. It's Chicago's REAL airport. MDW, possibly. How about we forget about both airports and rename White Sox park after him. He claims to be a fan, and the Sox will change the name of the park at the drop of a hat. Plus, anything is better than Guaranteed Rate Field.

How about a BAe-146 MAX-10! If I had my choice, I would design a new, stretched Boeing 727 MAX. Make it out of carbon fiber, give it a 787-style cockpit and avionics, and give it a 4500nm range. There's your new MoM aircraft. Of course I would be doing this purely for sentimental reasons...

Yes, the 757 is very popular on A.net for good reason. It's magnificent. Not only to fly on, but to work on as well. Oh, and I think I'll take this opportunity to say that the A321 will NEVER be a 757 replacement!
