Don't you guys use myidtravel.com for ticketing? Its very convenient as listing is done directly by purchasing the respective ticket.

Otherwise most airlines call center would also be helpful with a staff listing if flyzed.com is unavailable. But right now it is working fine with me.

I wouldn't rely on timatic too much. In order to avoid any problems I would apply a normal Iranian visa and enjoy the beautiful country as well and if time permits to hop on a few domestic flights which are very affordable and fun.
