There are several different sizes, mostly sized for different sizes. Whether the nose wheel assemblies of different aircraft do not physically fit some of the tractors, I do not know. I would have thought that an additional con would be poorer friction in dry weather, considering the area of contact between tyre and surface is less than on a smooth runway? Is this true, is the effect insignificant, or is the tyre flexible enough to "fill the grooves"? Answers are greatly apprecia...
