That proposed development will never happen. That is a wildlife conservation area, the suburb is home to 2600 people and is the site of Captain Cook's first landing. There are two main issues with the current Sydney Airport site. Runway capacity is limited under a cap system to reduce aircraft noise...

Exactly, those cheaper saver airfares will be selling out insanely fast, so only the higher fare brackets will be available. As Virgin add more flights, cheaper airfares become available again.

Supply and Demand as Flash said. Virgin are doing all they can to help the Australian travelling public.

Next time you should try REX from Townsville to Mount Isa, they fly at least daily (although usually twice) with fares from $200.

NZ Lounge in Sydney HAS a separate F section. I used it in 2006 when i flew TG in F class. Very nice lounge.

Star needs to add Virgin and its Affilate airlines. This will enable more connections out of London, as well as a huge presence in the Pacific/Australia, something which Star lacks at the moment, since the demise of Ansett in 2001.
