well..someone that doesn't need to check a bag in might enjoy the cheaper Y- product. Nothing wrong with having options. My God man...do you just realize that you are now paying the same fare as before, but getting LESS for it? This isn't a savings... DL hopes you're dumb enough to think it is, tho...Jump to post
It's only by folks like you making the decision with your wallets to go elsewhere that this cattle car trend can be reversed. The 10 across experience on the 772 and 773ER is soul crushing.

This only goes to show that keeping 737-600/-700 going because of Southwest only was a mistake. Oh please...how many -600's did WN order? Boeing actually discussed a stretched 717-300 to offer to airlines as a possible MD-80 replacement, but no one bit, and kept ordering the 737's. Thus the line we...Jump to post

I'd rather have a bit more noise with a bit more legroom than this reduced seat pitch BS they're all migrating towards... Mark my words, all these "max pax for evac certifications" will be called into question soon when a plane full of pax crammed into 28" pitch seats has to ground ev...Jump to post

New jingle....It's a small fee after all? :rotfl: You have won the internet today. Having been stuck on that ride at an early age with the soundtrack still playing in total darkness for 45 minutes, I spat out my drink laughing hysterically only to be reminded of that memory I desperately tried repr...Jump to post
AA's new branding and hard product were decided by then CEO Tom Horton, well before the merger. All the new aircraft were ordered with IFE in Y before Doug came along. Notice how he's now stripping it out, in addition to degrading the meal service. Never been a fan of Doug...and it doesn't surprise...Jump to post
PM AA was all sunshine and rainbows...and F pax got a free kitten to take home at the end of every flight. They served kobe filets and gave you unlimited Cristal champagne in F. And then mean old US Airways came along and ruined it! ;) Actually, the merger, imo, was a shot in the arm to an AA that w...Jump to post

ExpressJet did their thing ten years ago when the economy took a dump and gas sucked any profits out of 50-seaters. Will be interesting to watch. And their fares were gloriously awesome! And they had a free sandwich/pasta snack on their flights...even from SAT to OKC...and free XM radio on their ER...Jump to post
Why? Because if they could make money on it, then why not? SXM is no small potatoes. While it might not be as grand a destination as Hawaii, SXM is also used as a spring board to other nearby, desirable Islands. Then I'll do ya one further...why doesn't AA start MIA to HNL? There's no one else on t...Jump to post
This is slightly off topic a little bit but when Saint Maarten rebounds to its full potential, I think AS would do great on a non-stop from LAX-SXM. It would be the only non-stop from the west coast to SXM. Not sure if the range is there on any of the planes in AS's fleet but it could work, at leas...Jump to post
I'm not bashing WN, I've used them several times and find them to be a pretty decent airline (although I'm convinced their FAs are on some serious Prozac or some other wackyhappyclappy pills) Contrary to the popular opinions of flying airlines like AA or UA with overly-surly flight attendants, it a...Jump to post

So all in all, being cheap in cabin & cheap again at check-in, I am done with flying US airlines, really below world standards & elementary customer service. You don't know that. It's probable that Boeing offered NW the right to cancel or convert the 787 order should it not meet outlined then expectations (it didn't). Really? I don't know that? Well, welcome to my no-fly list SY.
