Re: Lost Media: Northwest Airlines "Livery Designs" Promo - Need help finding

I flew N801NW in its first week of revenue service from AMS-DTW in 2003. I remember thinking how much quieter it was than the DC-10, how much bigger its engines were, and how nice that VOD IFE system was. As the DC-10 got closer to retirement, I flew west to MSP to catch my last DC-10 flight to AMS ...

It looks like the 787 Dreamliners have received ETOPS 330. Using ETOPS 330, it looks like the flight might be able to take nearly the great circle route, CASA notwithstanding. http://www.gcmap.com/map?P=EZE-DRW&E=180&E=330&MS=wls&MX=540x540&PM=*&EV=410&EU=kts http://www.g...

Keep in mind that the departures level is typically that of the aircraft deck level, approximately 1 storey above ground. Ground level would typically be the below wing services and other ground services, mostly baggage handling, but there could be some catering and such. In order to go below this o...

The winds were favoring RWY 16R, but Boeing first flight rules require a takeoff on RWY 34R. There was too much of a tailwind component. The first flight has been postponed to another day. My guess is that a departure to the north puts the aircraft over less populated areas.
