I love road trips and have traveled the entirety of Route 66 on the interstate and much of the old road (note: the actual only original truly remaining stretch is between Kingman and Seligman, AZ, IIRC). If it weren't for that pesky international border both YOW and YUL would be very usable airports for both communities. Otherwise it is a long and not so great drive to get to SYR for these places. And winters can really make traveling suck up there.

I never really thought the River Visual to rwy 19 at DCA was all that crazy of an approach. It requires a fairly precise track but there aren't any hugely radical direction changes... especially if we are using the old IGS approach to rwy 13 at Kai Tak.
