Re: TV-series that went on for too long?

The Big Bang Theory is a show that I really should hate as it's not my usual type of comedy, and it's gone on far too long, however I still find it hilarious because one of my former flatmates at university was the real-life incarnation of Sheldon. Every single episode relives the hilarious times we...

Re: UK EU Withdrawal Starts - Article 50 Invoked

As a side comment to the above, I could really see Spain being bloody minded over this and casting a veto over a UK EU Brexit deal if they don't get their way over Gibraltar, and the UK being equally bloody minded by defending their overseas territory and walking away from a deal over this. The Gib...

From what I can tell, the GBP is fairing better than the Euro when compared to the USD after the news today; GBP/USD down ~0.16% vs EUR/USD down ~0.47%. per Yahoo Finance. Day to day fluctuations are irrelevant. What matters is that today one GBP can buy you roughly 1.24 USD (or 1.15 EUR), while on...

Re: Article 50 Will Be Triggered On March 29

Sure, Britain will remain were it is, and it will survive, the question is how prosperous will it be and how prosperous could it have been if it hadn't shot itself in the foot. And yes Britons did take the chance, choosing a perceived independence over the economy. If you think Briton will win from...

Re: Article 50 Will Be Triggered On March 29

I very much doubt Scotland would vote for independence, if they were granted another referendum. The arguments for Brexit were very much mixed. There's a strong chance that Britain could suffer if leaving, but also a strong chance it could prosper (long term of course). People were willing to take t...

Thank you Hywel for filling in the missing pieces in my BA flights! Regarding ARN-LGW 07/05/2001 I am fairly sure the airport LGW is correct, but maybe not the airline? As far as I heard there is no truth to the reactivation of the 747 leading to Christoph Mueller's departure rumour. What I've heard was that his personal reason for leaving was indeed personal. With regards to the 747 reactivation meanwhile I really don't think it costs that much. It was kept in fl...

It was reactivated and repainted at huge expense (rumour says the CEO Christoph Mueller left after discovering it was signed off without his knowledge).
