RE: Life As A Professional Aviation Photographer?

There are no professional aviation photographers on this site. There is no way one could make enough money doing this so that it is your sole income. There are some people that have a freakin ton of money which enables them to go places and visit areas otherwise restricted to normal people. Those pe...

RE: LAX And Visiting Minor Photographer

I can't believe any parents in their right mind would allow their 17 year old son to travel to Los Angeles and stay in a hotel room by himself for several days. How irresponsible of them! <TABLE BORDER=0 ALIGN=CENTER WIDTH=95% style="border-top: 1pt #28455E solid;border-right: 1pt #1B2E3F solid;bord...

This is another good read about the history of some significant quakes in and around Missouri.

RE: Earthquake Hit Arkansas On Sunday, May 1st

I guess the cows and liquor stills are okay. Minor quakes occur time to time in the Midwest. Missouri had a big one a long time ago. If you check out the USGS's website they list the Missouri quake (off of the top of my head I can't remember what year it was, but it was a long time ago).

RE: What Happened To N807SY?

There are some photos of PH-HZX in a hybrid livery on JP. It isn't very photogenic because it frequents airports now that the weather and sun angle doesn't favor good lighting conditions.

RE: F-Class AA: No Jews/Muslims/Vegetarians/Diabetics

Xkorpyoh, Based on your previous posts you seem to have some kind of bug up your ass regarding American Airlines. So by your logic, McDonald's must discriminate against Jews, Muslims, Vegetarians, and Diabetics. They don't offer any meals to those groups. I hope you are enjoying protraying yourself ...

RE: First Print Sale, And The Possibility Of Ramp.

DLKAPA, Since you are still new to this hobby I'll cut you some slack. There are two rules that photographers have been following for a long time: (1) Don't brag every chance you get about how you have ramp access through your job. (2) Don't brag if you get some kind of special ramp access at an air...

Yeah, it helps a lot when you have the type of ramp access at the various airports Joe has.

Joe better get the camera going at CLT on US Airways before it's too late...

I saw an episode of Mythbusters yesterday that featured them destroying a HA DC-9-51. They kept one of the overwing emergency doors as a souvenir. I would have to have one too!

So what? There are 38 other photographers with just as many. You don't see everyone kissing their asses do you?

Most of them have jobs too.

Why Did These Runway Designations Change At Msp?

The two parallel runways at MSP are 12L/30R and 12R/30L. There's a photo on here from 1994 that shows them as being 11L/29R and 11R/29L. Why the change? <br><center><a href="/open.file?id=70577" target="_blank"><font color="#EEEEEE" size="1" face="ARIAL, Helvetica, Geneva">Click for large version<br...
