One thing that's ironic is that Bush's Crawford Ranch home is a model of environmental efficiency, compared to Al Gore's home, which is a model of indulgence at the expense of the environment. Honest Look At Global Warming:

No pun intended, but I know this is a hot topic. It seems to me that it has become more of a religion than sound science. Skeptics of the man-caused, CO2 sourced global warming are shouted down as quickly as I would have suspected "flat earth" critics were shouted down back in the day. This type of ...

Because they dont really know anything about the C-5, thats why. They don't know about the operations, engineering or technology that went into the C-5's development. Its that simple.

There is plenty of evidence to suggest the existance of Jesus, now was he the son of god and the messiah, thats when faith comes into play. But Jesus the man did exist.

Also, there is no mechanical indication that the TRs opened on any engine. Also this was one of the Amp birds as well, and the amp'd aircraft are now restricted from flight, there may be some training issues as well.

In a word "no" winglets are not in the future, The C-5 wings have already been modified that was done in the 80"s when the B models were delivered, all the A's had the wings replaced. As of now the wings are not designed for winglets and the benefits of winglets would be negligible for the C-5 wing.

i would contribute the event to more of high operations tempo, i bet some crew fatigue and the lower and lower experience of flight crews with ever expending demands on all airframes. Its just a matter of time till there is another class A or loss of an airframe.
