Thank you for your report. It might be coming from a good place, but you should stop giving gifts to cabin crew. It is not appropriate. In some instances it is highly inappropriate for employees of some companies to accept gifts. Yes, I'd love to hear more about this as I have actually been told th...

Re: Delta to Brisbane

Most of the majors have what are called interline agreements (most low cost carriers do not). It’s entirely possibly that Delta transferred bags to QANTAS for passengers even if the passengers weren’t ticketed straight through on Delta. For example, I’m thinking about taking the entire family to Ha...

I’m not following your “where bags are tagged“ comment, because if someone was taking two separate flights, i.e. Chicago to LAX for example and then taking a Qantas flight from LAX to Brisbane. How would the first airline know that? That’s what I’m not getting. Most of the majors have what are call...

Re: Delta to Brisbane

To put it simply, in your example, are the bags being claimed at LAX and then re-checked or not. If not, that would mean that Delta transfers the bags over to Qantas, which is how they would know. If you have to reclaim your bags and then check them again, that means having to go through security a...
