RE: Proper 747 Takeoff For FS 2004

Bwood, you brought up an issue that is very important to me: how realistic a take off is. I had the same concern. Whenever I used to take-off with an airliner I always saw an exaggeration in the power of the plane. With a 747 I could lift it in less than 15 sec which is not realistic even if you hav...

It is a phenomena caused by the magnetic field that exist between the Noth and South Pole. This phenomena exist in any type of magnet you have home or you use for haning things on the fridge, etc... RE: Help! With Auto Pilot In FS9

I had a similar problem once. I had an ILS approach with autopilot with a B747-400, and then I taxied at the end of the rwy and took off another time. Well, I mistakenly turned off the auto-throttle thinking that I was disactivating the autopilot. So the autopilot was still on, set for the ILS appro...

And looks like Blue Panorama is interested to acquire Volare!!

If they have enough assests to cover the long-term liabilities, I am sure it's a really good deal!!!

If I don't mistake Blue Panorama (after the acquisition) should become the 3rd largest Italian carrier.

I am sure it's gonna help to lower down the expenses!

But hey! $9 per ticket is not possible man! It's way too much!
Unless airlines have to pay some crazy taxes and fees for each ticket, but I might be wrong as well!

Airbus_A340, you are missing the point: <b>"so far no evidence indicates the crash was caused by man-made factors."</b> It means that it seems like the crash might have been caused by technical or other problems but not from the error of a pilot or from people that could have caused such an accident...

Xinhua agency website is reporting the news that no man-made factor was found as cause of the plane crash! I can't imagine what a hell of a time it must be for the Technical Director of Bombardier. I really hope the cause isn't related to them though! It would be sad if it had to be grounded forever...

It's supposed to be 10'. How long does it take for you to get off the runway? Keep in mind that in real world a fully loaded B747-400 from the moment that it applies full thrust to the moment that it gets off the runway it takes even more than 50 sec. For a very empty B767 it can take only 15 sec. S...
