Jump to postI reckon it could be Biman,
This article is from May, looks like a confirmation

Can the suites and the Y seats from the 777 fleet be re used on the Airbus wide bodies ?
I know the PY seats and IFE units should not have a problem, but what about the suites

Hey Folks, What are the routes for Summer 2020 Schedule for the 747s? Thanks Karan Hi Karan. I don't know summer schedule but currently it is flying to MEX YYZ DEL and JFK (KL643), and occasionally appears to ICN. (Possibly this list is not complete.) Thank you so much, doesn’t look like DEL and JF...

Thanks

RyanairGuru,
Thank you for the reply, basically was enquiring on what the best chances for me to log a 744ER was
Folks, from the data posted on this thread it seems the last non ER 747 will leave the fleet in August, will HND and HNL continuoe on a 744ER post that, or any other practical route to do it on
I ask as I want to log it before they retire next year.
These birds that do SEA-Asia are the 76Ts which is the only 767 variant with a crew rest. They were the first 763s to get modded way back in 2011 and before DL started using the new IFE screens. AFAIK, they are the only 767-300ERs with the old screens. Thanks for the info, how many 76Ts does DL cur...
Jump to postHi folks, Thanks for the updates, just a quick query, was under the impression that all the 767-300er Y cabins were refurbished a few years back with the new PTVs , And I informed this to my colleague who was flying DL 588 from PVG to SEA on Easter , he messaged me saying that the aircraft is ancien...
Jump to postOne of following is bound to happen; with all DL NRT ops set to terminate, CAN DL simply transfer their few remaining intra Asia flying to HND? I think all thats left is SIN and MNL. With SEA expansion being mostly complete by mid 2020, will we instead see a DL SEA-SIN flight and a SEA-MNL flight? ...
Jump to postWhich route is the 77LR that is freed up from YYZ-BOM gonna be used ?
Also with the 16 hour crew restriction limit does that mean that BOM is effectively ruled out for W19 as well as the BOM-YYZ used to blocked at 16 hrs
One observation with the recent swap with Kuwait airways is that they took 8 x 338s for 5 x 359s , so going by that example of Delta were indeed swapping 359s for 339s it would be a lot more than 10 x 339s
Jump to postOne factor is the 763's are paid for and any new A333/9 wouldn't. Once those old 763's start requiring heavy checks the equation will change significantly, hence this top-of order IMO, if it's really for DL. Nevertheless I still expect them to place a top-off order at some point. An airline like DL...
Jump to post9W have had their 77Ws for how long? 2008? So it has taken them 10 full years to "figure things out"? 8 if you count the move from BRU to AMS/CDG happened about 2 years ago? Jump to post[photoid][/photoid] Any idea why they pulled out the Bom-yyz flight from S19 schedule, despite announcing a frequency increase from 3 to 4 weekly services? Given UA can do it with their 77E's, I'd assume the 359's are able to take a full passenger load and some light cargo at least. Sure max pax plus 5-10 metric tonnes of cargo for around a 90 metric tonne fuel burn. Thank you Zeke and Caverunner17 for the replies, that seems some nice performance ove...

Not a hope in hell of a 77L beating an A359 on fuel per ton of payload.
Good to see Cathay start SEA unfortunately misses out on the entire India bank , a missed opportunity as it would have been one of the fastest connections from India to Seattle
Jump to postIf Indigo places an order for the A330neo and takes them by next year then well at least we will have some direct routes and some new international routes from India. Has there been any news? Boeing has near term slots for the 787 and will definitively bid aggressively for the Indigo order. I would...
Jump to postMy take on this, The longhaul LCC market is yet an untested one, we have a few examples like Air Asia X [which has not been too succesful with the amount of route cancellations] and Norwegian & Scoot [which have been reasonably succesful] The challenge 6E faces at the onset is that the Indian Pa...
Jump to postWas wanting to read this for a while,
I feel the behaviour of the passengers is somewhat justified given the length of the delay and the way situation was handled it's unfortunate however that the Crew were at the receiving end
@anshabhi,
Slots are given out as pairs and being regional they will be within a 60-90 min period also given this is govt backed the slots will have to be handed ou provided the carrier meets the requirements
First of all good to see the next generation of Indian av geeks take the Indian Aviation thread forward wrt to Vistara operations at BOM, With the new S17 schedule it seems we will just see them operate only two cities from BOM, Namely BOM-DEL (eventually 9 daily ) and a single daily BOM-ATQ" S...

Nice Trip report Ojas, It seems it was a smooth 787 AI international flight, something i am yet to experience :D The no more drinks for you is a pretty standard measure deployed by AI, given the pax profile on the route and their flights On some flights i have taken [HKG SIN JFK] i have strictly hea...
Jump to postNot reverse herringbone either
Jump to postNice report JiB,
You were lucky to get Terminal 2E and as I told you some slick android IFE on the 763s
Surprised they said only beer and wine, as far as I know they have been serving complimentary spirits in Y since a year now
Also those are not herringbone seats
Karan
WIll the Business and Y class cabins also get the refresh or just a new PY cabin,?
Good news for the 333s and extends their life in the fleet for a few more years
Lovely report and nice pics JiB
Reminded me of my lovely AF 772er flights in 2011, and that oh so cute safety card
Glad you made it in the end...next time remember not to consider a jet 737 or Blr a bonus flight or sector
Take care
Awaiting the others
Thanks for the updates guys,
Any idea what's In store for the 777 fleet, will they get the same IFE and updated interior as the 330s ? If so when ar they scheduled to ?
Karan
Thank you so much for the reply United1 especially the second post content which satisfied my query
