Jump to postI've done this countless times and to be honest it's fairly hard to beat the bus...well, it's a coach, not a bus. They are super regular, something like every 15mins, door to door with no stops, generally are not very busy so I've had free seats next to me, it's pretty cheap and there's wifi. I'm ge...

Either way, if you have very cumbersome shoes it is possible you may need to take them off at TSA PreCheck. I have a pair of regular loafer style shoes and they quite often need a second look after I've attempted to use the WTMD..

Bugger Heathrow. Go thru Customs twice to get to Lisbon? no thanks!
For BA I heard 2014, all things being equal. BA had plans for new cabin fittings and toilets that were never fitted to an aircraft. The only part of it that was fitted were the new, blue seats after the Paris accident., Those new seats provided weight savings that offset the kevlar fuel tank linings...
Jump to postIs it worth what? These questions are completely subjective based on YOUR opinion of the value of the perks of Mint relative to the cost of the upgraded seat.
If everyone thought it was worth it then economy wouldn't exist, if nobody thought it was worth it then Mint wouldn't be offered on the route.
This doesn't answer the OP's question, but in the US, the gate FIDS typically will display PWM as "Portland ME" and PDX as "Portland OR" respectively. A long time ago I was at the United Express gates at IAD. It's where multiple flights board through the same gate at the same ti...

Jump to postI had a BA ATH-LHR flight that I booked a few weeks out. Went from A321 (with flatbeds) to 767 (with flatbeds) to a shorthaul A321 about a day out. Not so amused. One thing I forgot completely about once onboard was the Loft area at the back of the Upper Class cabin...I had seen it on my way in, meant to try it out and it wasn't until disembarkment that I remembered it!
For those of you who have read my reports from the last 20yrs you'll note that I remained largely loyal to my oneworld Emerald (and occasional Sapphire) status that I've held for that duration. That meant for the vast majority of my transatlantic travels I was enjoying BA Club World, or in more rece...
Jump to postThe BAC 1-11 may have been built like a brick outhouse, however it's noise belied it's size, amusingly and here is why I can be wary with on-paper figures, in order to carry on after noise restrictions after 1985, they had to be 'hushkitted', big extension on the RR Speys. Jump to postWorth is purely subjective. Domestic FC is at least a little bit better in every respect and therefore "worth it" in 99% of cases to me, IMO.
