Thanks to NYtracon, granted I had to push escape and stop the loading page simultaneously, but getting behind the paywall, didn't really reveal much. Other than F9 is looking to expand to a total of 5 gates and that Airport Ops basically said that within a month or so F9 may be in a new Airside. The...Jump to post
^^ Would love to see all of them stick. Also in this locked article, it mentions F9 wants to add 5 gates...I think they are currently at 3? And it mentions they want to start SAT and ABQ. https://www.bizjournals.com/tampabay/news/2018/08/08/frontier-airlines-shares-why-it-will-offer-new.html Intere...Jump to post

Looks like COS, STL, IND, CMH and MCI aren’t coming back. COS makes sense (likely low demand, DEN just up the road, didn't make a lot of sense in the first place because of those factors) but the other losses are surprising (to me anyway, maybe not to someone with more knowledge of the markets) Oth...Jump to post
Looks like CLT too
7 routes to 5 cities Upstart Canadian "ultra-low-cost carrier" Swoop is making its first push into the United States, revealing plans Thursday to fly seven routes from five U.S. airports. The airline’s first U.S. flights start Oct. 11, when Swoop launches non-stop service between Las Vegas...Jump to post
Looks like the TPA ATI stopover is going SCK-TPA-DFW.

Allegiant is going to restart BTV-SFB, according to an interview with a company spokesman in the Burlington Free Press: http://www.burlingtonfreepress.com/biz/ (down the page under VIDEO) Can't find any confirmation elsewhere, but BTV is on the Allegiant website's route map again. Not seeing a sing...Jump to post
Interesting, I saw 4 new main deck loaders arrive at TPA's cargo complex the other day with LGSTX stickers on them, not sure what aircraft the will be used for presumably UPS. It doesn't appear that the renovation of the N Cargo facility includes reconnecting the aircraft stands to the taxiway. Not...Jump to post
I posted this in the Amazon thread, since the LGSTX part is most likely Amazon related. TPA news from upcoming board meetings. Looks like LGSTX is expanding into the N. Cargo area, where UPS just recently signed, to rent 44.6k of apron and 37.8k of suit/building space. Coincidentally, AA also expand...Jump to post

Would love to see F9 enter BTV. With NK and G4 in PBG, F9 really is only LLC option for BTV that would make sense, other than WN, but I don't see WN entering BTV just yet.Jump to post

From their website, it looks like if Canada Jetlines is able to get off the ground next summer, they intend to fly to TPA. Their site shows that they intend to add Hamilton- Tampa service between Nov 18 and Apr 19. It would defiantly be exciting to have another Canadian carrier at TPA! https://jetl...Jump to post
TPA's Director of Research and Route Development is meeting with Avianca in Barcelona this week and then after that flying to BOG on Avianca and meeting with them in BOG. Seems like this is the next fish TPA catches.
Will be interesting to see if Thomas Cook beats Avianca to the punch.
We also picked up a stopover route though TPA. What does this mean exactly? Honestly not sure. Our bids for October/November haven't come out yet but my guess is that we will do something like CLT-TPA-CVG. I'm assuming stopover simply means that we won't lay over in Tampa but simply stop, unload, l...Jump to post
Would be interesting to see if there is any correlation to Amazon's air network and HQ2. For example if we use this map from Marketwatch (http://www.marketwatch.com/story/here-are-the-cities-that-meet-the-criteria-for-amazons-second-headquarters-2017-09-07) of potential HQ2 location based off their ...Jump to post

Rough luck for it to come in for the inaugural with Tampa and the State of Florida under a State of Emergency due to Irma. For any tourists that didn't cancel or rebooked on another date, going to be a rough couple of upcoming days for them. Anyhow, I will be at the airport parking garage to get a g...Jump to post
Another good question to pose; is how SX with alter or change their charter program, specifically the college football charters. Seems they use a good portion of their current fleet for charters, compared to other majors.Jump to post
BTV seems like a potential spot. If they beat F9 into the region. NK/G4 serve PBG, but nothing out of BTV.
BTV - FL airports seems to fit this new model and any future F9 expansion as well.
Spirit just announced daily service between Tampa and New Orleans. http://ir.spirit.com/releasedetail.cfm?ReleaseID=1038189 I wonder how successful this route will be considering Allegiant operates PIE to MSY on Friday and Mondays, and Southwest operates TPA to MSY as well. An article related to UPS moving from PIE to TPA: https://www.bizjournals.com/tampabay/news/2017/08/23/ups-moving-into-tampa-international-airport.html Biggest thing I got out of it is: "proposed $8.9 million redevelopment of the cargo facility." "Asked about the departure of the car...Jump to post

I could see MCO down the line. I really don't see WOW going against Icelandair in TPA and to be honest, I don't think there is room for two in TPA to KEF. I would much prefer Icelandair's product and hopefully increase to 4x or 5x weekly than WOW coming in a making things a bit of a mess.Jump to post
SJC just announced that there will be multiple new routes from WN in this schedule extension. Hm.... interesting, why are they announcing that so early though? Do you have a source? There are 7 spaces over there. UPS only sends 2 aircraft at a time to PIE, which according to prior posts on here, should stay the same. Leaving 5 spaces. I posted this data on another site, but this is extrapolated LF% averages based of reported landing passenger numbers and number of flights and aircraft seat capacity. I see Aer Lingus for the sole reason of it being Mayor Buckhorn's final hoorah. It's long been discussed and well documented media wise that he wants a DUB flight. The SLC/DL January thing is a bit interesting, not sure what's going on there.
I think AM or Interjet is only a matter of time as is a couple of other routes, many noted here already.
Would love to get some 787's into TPA or the SSJ. If not Norwegian, airlines line Thomson, Neos, TUI Group, etc.
Latest Amazon order (TB Lightning decal and a aquarium filter foam), can't be more than .75 pounds, went from SEA-CVG-TPA. Kinda interesting given, one the light weight of the package and two, the regional specific Tampa Bay Lightning product coming from a SEA area distribution center.Jump to post
