Sorry if this isn't the right section. But almost on the heels of the latest Wikipedia Airport/Airline debate. It seems the powers that be, have more or less replaced the old terminal locations of airlines, with now what is a references column that brings most links/sources to a generic airlines web...Jump to post
Has been rumored for a bit now, now finally official. Starts 10/28! Lufthansa in recent schedule update adjusted Frankfurt – Tampa operation during winter 2018/19 season, effective from 28OCT18. Current CityLine A340-300 service is scheduled to be replaced by Lufthansa Mainline A340-300, resulting c...Jump to post
Icelandair about to increase frequency at TPA from sounds like it. Bahamasair is using Downtown Tampa skyline in an ad on its homepage currently. Would really love to see this route to NAS commence. Otherwise, PDX the big hole. With LAX filling up as well as LAS. PDX is the hole, with SFO/Bay Area and SEA last for expansion/capacity increase. I've always said Canad...Jump to post
With BTV applying for grant service for BTV-DEN (as noted in separate thread), I wonder if F9 will try it's hand at BTV? Obviously, if it did with this grant service, it would have to do BTV-DEN, but they most likely could do MCO/TPA as well. UA could do BTV-DEN, but it basically overlaps their netw...Jump to post
Amazon Prime was spotted at TPA's PEMCO recently, anyone have any idea what for? Is PEMCO starting to now do maintenance checks on the in service fleet? See linked photo: https://scontent.ftpa1-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/26167093_10211134839710452_1272214004214806537_n.jpg?oh=251eeb0103da8846f04ad6f23...Jump to post
Since UPS and Amazon have opened up shop at TPA, the number of 767s passing through daily has really grown. Counted 6 between the two yesterday, plus their other equipment. And AC has brought back the second seasonal 767 flight to YYZ, to make it 8 movements. Almost reminds me of the DL ATL-TPA shu...Jump to post
From TPA, could maybe open door for more Caribbean, maybe like Jamaica, Cancun or Turks and Caicos. Domestically, from TPA, I think SAV, CHS, ASH and GSP would do best. Could Silver’s new aircraft actually fly TPA-MBJ? That would be awesome. I plugged in the ATR-600 range on Great Circle Mapper and...Jump to post
I can't seem to find the #TPA2SFO Facebook page a portion of us conversed with TPA about routes.
Anyways, with NK doing LAS and LAX, I wonder what's next for West Coast.
Obviously, PDX is only a matter of time for AS, but OAK/SJC, secondary SFO, maybe SMF? 2nd carrier on SEA?
UA is adding BTV-EWR mainline (A320) beginning 12/22/17Jump to post
TPA has the benefit of being a tourist destination, much more so than say PHL or BWI. So TPA while low, IMO is underrated in terms of opportunity. MCO being at 200kish, shows how induced demand plays into a route that is established versus one that isn't, but has potential and similar market similar...Jump to post
The link doesn't work. Interesting to see if CHS can work with a larger aircraft - didn't last long the last time they tried it. GSP is interesting. G4 has long served PIE-GSP but I don't think TPA has been served since the days of the DL TPA focus city in the early-mid 2000s, unless AirTran gave i...Jump to post
Silver is running a promotion and in it, is a list of routes that are potential adds with their new ATR's, including TPA-CHS (Charleston) and GSP (Greenville/Spartanburg)
ABQ new station? Seeing ATN coming in from DFW off to SMF tonight. Looks like it might have been a diversion: https://flightaware.com/live/flight/ATN3860/history/20171114/0826Z/KDFW/KABQ Good catch! Missed that when looking at Flightaware, I guess would maybe explain why it may have parked at a ABQ...Jump to post
Yes, Amazon Prime began PVD Op's less than a month ago.
Well talked about in the Amazon Prime/Fleet thread here on A.net and Amazon Prime Air Wikipedia is very up to date.
Copa has been doing really well as of late and even during September during Irma, they basically only ones INTL'y to post positive gains. They have been up the upswing for a handful of months now. I would like to see them go daily or at least up frequency, just like I would like to see LH up frequen...Jump to post
Some new movement today and ongoing at TPA. 1x Atlas 4029 CVG-TPA (http://flightaware.com/live/flight/GTI4029/history/20171107/1850Z/KCVG/KTPA), replaced ABX3413. Speaking from TPA's side, does TPA even have the room for any UA hub? I know TPA is planning a Airside D international airside, but that's only like 13-14 gates. In the past TPA proposed a North Terminal complex but that was axed some time ago. Hypothetically, if UA decided TPA for a S. American cen...Jump to post
Looks like the TPA ATI stopover is going SCK-TPA-DFW.

Allegiant is going to restart BTV-SFB, according to an interview with a company spokesman in the Burlington Free Press: http://www.burlingtonfreepress.com/biz/ (down the page under VIDEO) Can't find any confirmation elsewhere, but BTV is on the Allegiant website's route map again. Interesting, I saw 4 new main deck loaders arrive at TPA's cargo complex the other day with LGSTX stickers on them, not sure what aircraft the will be used for presumably UPS. It doesn't appear that the renovation of the N Cargo facility includes reconnecting the aircraft stands to the taxiway. Not...Jump to post
I posted this in the Amazon thread, since the LGSTX part is most likely Amazon related. TPA news from upcoming board meetings. Looks like LGSTX is expanding into the N. Cargo area, where UPS just recently signed, to rent 44.6k of apron and 37.8k of suit/building space. Coincidentally, AA also expand...Jump to post

Would love to see F9 enter BTV. With NK and G4 in PBG, F9 really is only LLC option for BTV that would make sense, other than WN, but I don't see WN entering BTV just yet.Jump to post

From their website, it looks like if Canada Jetlines is able to get off the ground next summer, they intend to fly to TPA. Their site shows that they intend to add Hamilton- Tampa service between Nov 18 and Apr 19. It would defiantly be exciting to have another Canadian carrier at TPA! https://jetl...Jump to post
TPA's Director of Research and Route Development is meeting with Avianca in Barcelona this week and then after that flying to BOG on Avianca and meeting with them in BOG. Seems like this is the next fish TPA catches.
Will be interesting to see if Thomas Cook beats Avianca to the punch.
We also picked up a stopover route though TPA. What does this mean exactly? Honestly not sure. Our bids for October/November haven't come out yet but my guess is that we will do something like CLT-TPA-CVG. I'm assuming stopover simply means that we won't lay over in Tampa but simply stop, unload, l...Jump to post
Would be interesting to see if there is any correlation to Amazon's air network and HQ2. For example if we use this map from Marketwatch (http://www.marketwatch.com/story/here-are-the-cities-that-meet-the-criteria-for-amazons-second-headquarters-2017-09-07) of potential HQ2 location based off their ...Jump to post
