Re: Brussels: Why such a big chaos with so little snow

Airports that get infrequent snowfall usually don’t spend on snowploughs, so get hit hard when it does snow. Geoff Well, if you are right, that's the point. But I presume there should be ICAO rules on snow-removal equipment and so on. Thus, are these rules not complied with at BRU? I've just seen o...

Thank you for all your comments. And yes, the second, natural question is, how do they do in Canada, Russia, Scandinavia...? (and BTW, I was on one of those diverted planes. In Spanish: "antes del despegue". I think the correct translation is "before take-off". I know, I had the same reaction. Why didn't they stop the whole operation? Perturbing indeed. Time and accident investigators will get us out of doubt, I hope.

Me too, positive about them. On-time flights, interesting prices and network, reasonable legroom. Boarding smooth. And two minor (but important for me) details: good cabin temperature (not hot-not cold) and no ambient music. The arrival of 321 is a good news: more possibilities of flying with an emp...

I don't like it. Changing for the sake of changing things is ridiculous. Just improve the small problems of the old site and bring it back. I would rather admire and enjoy an F-4 instead of an F-35, a Superconstellation instead of a 787 (even if the two newest are technically superior).

Sad update: 11 killed, the last one a French captain who was badly burned.

A lot of damages: besides de Greek F-16, also French Alpha-Jets and Rafale.

By the way, reports talk about hydrazine, a highly toxic product, being present on the F-16. Question: what's that for? and why only on F-16?
