While there is a debate about creativity and 'quality' why not think about raising file size as a 1Meg restriction is only going to restrict quality not enhance it?

I really do sympathise with the screeners and moderators here. Hi the most obvious thing looking at your images are the halo's round the aircraft. This can be caused by the use of the Shadow/Highlight feature in Photoshop or similar packages, also aggressive use of curves can also cause this. There are plenty of tutorials about, there is one on a.net somewhere ...
Jump to postSorry to bump this thread but is DM any nearer to finding a service provider for this function? It does seem to have dragged on for a while. Is there an update or will the photo sale function just be discarded?
Many thanks,

I used to use it and in moderation it was fine. Now I use noise reduction in ACR which is far better.
Jid
Buying prints as Derek says has been 'in development' since DM took over so can't be too high up their list of priorites, if its on the list at all!

Unfortunately if you post your images to a.net you can not apply your own watermark. If you use the a.net watermark as I do it can be simply removed just by paying a small membership fee.

Jump to postYes but why would you want to work in a colour space that you know you are going to 'loose' colour from? Lightroom can be changed to work in the sRGB if required. Jump to postOne way is to shoot RAW and set your raw converter's noise reduction to remove any noise. But be warned not to apply too much (don't use the default setting) as this gives a 'banding' look to sky's which can be mistaken for compression.

Jump to postI have to say I normally stay out of this sort of thread but removing the pixel size from the comments is just bizarre. I do tend to look at an image that is 1600px as it is harder to get the quality at that size as stated. For me it is just unnecessary and pointless sensorship.
