I am betting they do offer a refund for a few months. If I recall a few airlines did this when the first max grounding was rts. KAYAK has added a filter option now to exclude MAX 9 flights from search results. That's not a fair statement. Kayak has added a filter for ANY plane type in your search r...

Re: AS1282 PDX-ONT decompression event, returned to PDX, FAA temporarily grounds 737MAX9 for inspections

There are frequent mentions of how Frankenstein the MAX is, but all derivatives are Frankensteins to a degree. The A330 is almost a newer A300. Also the 737 has a much newer wing than the A320. The problems with the 737 are less about the hardware and much more about Boeing's failures in management...

Re: AS1282 PDX-ONT decompression event, returned to PDX, FAA temporarily grounds 737MAX9 for inspections

Pretty common knowledge that WN’s insistence of cockpit commonality is to blame for the Frankenstein MAX. I'd argue it was more American Airlines ordering almost 500 A320neo. "Cockpit Commonality" between the 737 Next Generation and 737 MAX involved a heck of a lot more than just MCAS. Wh...

I really hope that Boeing is designing a 737 replacement that should have been released 15-20 years go. The usefulness of the 737 frame has reached its ceiling its capable of and in hindsight the Max should have never been built. Pretty common knowledge that WN’s insistence of cockpit commonality i...

Technically, MCAS wasn't really flight critical if there was no AoA vane failure. With properly functioning AoA vanes, triggering of the system would have been very rare and likely not even have been noticed by a pilot. I think they looked at it as just throwing in some software so it would pass a ...

If they're going to require the same treatment for the 739ER now, but not actually ground it, why keep the MAX 9 grounded? Regarding the CVR and its 2 hour limit. It was mentioned on here that the EASA stipulate a minimum of 25 hours.

So do Airbus fit a 2hr or 25hr CVR as standard on aircraft destined for US operators? And does Boeing have to fit a 25hr one for European operators?

Let us consider the fact that this incident/accident applies to a very limited number and subset of 737 Max aircraft, specifically a very specific subset. It applies to 171 out of the 214 737 Max 9's because these 171 737-Max 9s have a door plug. Of which, there has been a total of at least 1376 73...

John Ostrower has updated his story, noting that "Across the five [United] aircraft, there is little consistency in the locations of the errant parts." If true, this indicates QC problems throughout the installation of the plug doors. https://theaircurrent.com/feed/dispatches/united-finds...

There are three possible configurations of the mid-cabin doors: 1) Activated as emergency exit door - This configuration is identified by the porthole window in the door. RE: Vista Password Reset Disk

It's stupid really, because there should be no reason to be able to use a CD, but no doubt I'm wrong.  Sad

Vista Password Reset Disk

I am after creating a Password Reset Disk for my computer (using Vista), but it will only show the A: drive (floppy), but I don't have a floppy drive in my computer.

Is it possible to use a CD?

Thanks
Tom.

RE: Scanners

Cool!

I'm surprised at the price difference though. Embarrassment
