United has been outsourcing major work and heavy checks for years to the lowest bidder. You get what you pay for and United's payment is coming due. They should have kept these maintenance jobs in America for American workers with proper training and oversight. Not that many years ago we had the 777...

Jump to postThe amount of abuse these contract employees face, I am surprised more have not just walked off the job. No benefits, below poverty pay wages, and constant abuse. Not a smart job to have. I fully support them all walking out.
Jump to postThanks for posting this trip report. I found it really interesting. Hopefully the max stays safe and is something we don't even consider in the future. Thanks again !
Jump to postThanks for the memories. Crazy to think those continental colors still live on with much of the united fleet.

Jump to postDo we know how many days in advance WN has cancelled flights into the schedule based on the MAX being removed?
Jump to postI could see LH doing what AA did and get a good rate from both. This may well end up being a split order.
Jump to postSounds like Airbus wants to ensure pilots know the aircraft. Last thing they want would be some inexperienced pilots with subpar training crashing some new NEO or similar aircraft. They certainly do not want to be in the position Boeing finds itself in today.

Jump to postI had not paid much attention to the MH370 story for a while. As such I found this program rather refreshing to see. I agree that out current system of searching for the black boxes after a crash with virtually no idea of where the wreckage is located needs to change.

Jump to postThis is not dripping the aircraft as I assume you would have to be below the wings for that?
Perhaps just checking the depth in an old fashioned and rather unreliable fashion?
I found a very good article on one theory for MH370. A simple explanation, such as fire is seemingly the most likely in my view.
