Re: Indianapolis Aviation - 2024

What is new at IND? I'm looking at the latest aerial image and it looks like the runway reconstruction is done and it is back in use. You can see the parking garage expansion in full swing. Is the FedEx expansion done? Looks like a small section unfinished near the end which I assume will be where t...

Any chance Sun Country looks at IND as a possible focus city? With the exception of Cancun, Mexico and the entire Caribbean is unserved from IND. They could take on any of those routes free from competition. Not to mention the incentives they'd get from IND and the city/state.

They could set up shop. Outside of CUN, the Mexican and Caribbean market is completely unserved from IND. They could take on those vacation destinations free of competition. Plus the west coast isn't overly saturated. Florida would be their only problem

The cargo on the CDG flight wasn't remotely overstated. It was big business. I believe it was GE that would fill the belly. I might have the company name wrong. Could it be a lack of gate space keeping them out? 39 gates is more than enough at an airport like IND. SNA gets more passengers through just 20 gates.
