Here is a photo from my web site that I took in Frankfurt last week that is the antithesis of the TSA poster: http://joepriesaviation.net/pho...
Jump to postI agree with alot of what Colin says. I have to admit I used to really enjoy uploading here but I only do it once every few months or so now- it's just become less and less fun and i've noticed that less of the photographers I know even participate in this forum anymore. I still support the site and...
Jump to postHahahaha, funny stuff K, I can just picture it -now if you can shoot some slides in Lagos, man o man, that would be wonderful (just be sure to have armed escort).

When Kodak stops making slides, i'm switching to Fuji, when Fuji stops and no one else makes 'em, i'll be 100% digital, but hopefully that will never ever happen.
JP
Sam, tell me you got atleast one phone number from those beauties. Please.
Great shots, I enjoyed looking at them.
Sorry, I dont see anything in those circles. My wife came over to check them out and told me that i'm a dumbass for even discussing this, but she doesnt understand

The day I start examining photos for what may be under the surface at +30 gauge is the day I sell my cameras and give it all up. That is sheer madness. Photo looks good, but let me do several under the surface inspections to be sure that it's ok underneath the initial surface. Where is my gun, I nee...
Jump to postPhil, I dont mind appealing, believe me, but I want to learn- I want to know what the screener was thinking when he rejected- what he saw, so that we can all learn not to make the same mistake and have to go through the appeal process. Maybe there is something the screener saw that we are all not se...
Jump to postWhy should I put the contrast up, I dont see any noticeable dust spots- should I be checking every photo for unnoticeable dust spots "in case" there may be some hidden ones? please tell me that's not what we've come to here- I know that can't be.
JP
Philster, check out the building on the left side, that boy is straight up. Eric, I checked that northwest for the sensor dust indeed, saw none- not sure what happened here. Phil on the northwest smog, maybe the jet exhaust, but that day in <acronym title="Atlanta - Hartsfield-Jackson International ...
Jump to postSorry guys, the UAL CRJ was "badcameraangle" -I'm still not sure what I did wrong. And Phil, I did adjust it .00000whatever but i'm not sure if that's what's wrong. It's been a while since i've uploaded so maybe i'm getting rusty but I need to know what the heck i'm doing wrong- and what is dirty ab...
Jump to postSorry, one more- I got this one rejected for BADDIRTY and i'm not sure if its the plane that is dirty or what i'm not seeing, so that I can fix whatever it is and resubmit it. Jump to postFriends, I got this one rejected for bad centered and it's been a while and I need a refresher- I used the building on the left side as my guide and it appeared to be level to me. My assumption is that the fuel tanks are not straight, but the building is- so in such an instance, what is the right th...
Jump to postJustin,
If this is the same guy i've dealt with (md11 check captain), I usually asked him to make some cards for me in return for using my photo/s -there really isn't much money in it for him when it's all said and done so the cards for me worked out great.

Mikey M knows his shale no doubt, when my external 200GIG HD crashed he gave me some program that was able to suck out atleast some of the lost data. Thanks Mike!

Jump to postThanks for the heads up guys. That postcard is legit, I was compensated for them using it and if it ends up for sale that is something I expected.
Good looking out Justin, thanks

Good time to remind people to be careful with what they put up indeed. Also what they say. Here's a good example- photographers who say in the photo comments "this is the dirtiest plane i've ever seen" or "this pilot really screwed up this landing" -people in the airlines/industry see that and it ma...
Jump to postThe below is well said and true. Both have different purposes and both do what they do as expected. =================================== Even people like Joe Pries are happy with 4fps on a 10D while still shooting with the EOS1VHS. You just have to adapt your shooting habits when switching to digital.
Jump to postOf course he never got back to me- must have gotten a bunch of freebies

Mark, would be awesome if you guys can get me when I arrive- we'll talk more just before the show. As far as making plans to do this and do that- I know one thing- dinner fri night and sat night and slide show fri night- otherwise, just alot- I mean ALOT of Sam Adams consumption. Don and I will have...

Jump to postMike, First of all, great work over the years- please don't ever stop! You do great work and your passion shows in the photos! Second: Where is Joe Pries when you want him? Jump to postSam made the NIKON D-100 the weapon of choice for a lot of advanced amateurs. Funny, nobody has mentioned this yet? ------ oh, you should see his face when he stands next to a Canon 1VHS shooting a roll of slides in 3 seconds flat- he looks down at his cameras and frowns. I've seen it with my own ey...

Colin, Indeed mate. I think though this time i'll wait for it to go down in price a bit, then jump on it as the 10D works great for now. My pocket still has burn holes from the 300 2.8 IS purchase last year <img ...
Jump to postI typically go for whatever new body Canon puts out to replace my current body- did it with my D60 when I sold it and bought the 10D. Hi Anders, Looks like a nice new camera the new F6- built like a tank as expected- i'm just surprised that Nikon is investing in a technology that is fading away- will always be there, but each year less and less as digital grows more and mor...
Jump to postSam, you're going to get into a quagmire using both systems simultaneously- I personally would not consider this avenue. Just my opinion.
JP
Sam, sorry, I re-read your message and did not adhere to your request to refrain from canon vs. nikon. Again, sorry.
JP
Sam, for what you do you want the 1 VHS which is what I use- that one will get you to a roll of 36 film in 3 seconds. I'm not sure about the other model. Now having said that, am I understanding that you're dropping Nikon and moving to Canon? if so, aside from me brutalizing you about not shooting C...
