EK has always done that... maybe just not for flights from USA to Europe. I think they allow a transit layover up to 4 days and if you book through them, they will also process the transit visa if you need one.

Did AF increase frequency on the CDG-BOM route this winter? There is a second flight (AF 206 / AF207) showing on certain days of the week, using a A332. I looked at Dec.1st and 3rd dates.
This second flight is timed approximately 3 hours after the regular AF 218 / AF 217 service.

You don't have enough time. It is a 4 hour layover but in reality, it is just a little over 3 hours since boarding starts about 40-45 minutes before scheduled departure.
